I have been playing eve online under wine cince way back in 2008 and its slightly more cumersome that windows,

But i have never had to reinstall the system.
I have upgdared the hardware and changed Lpatop 3 times and just moved everything over and its working - still.

So no - it dont suck - but you have to know a bit more than just installt under windows - agreed.

The Goons suck at Eve. They are winning Eve. So by that logic you should use Linux for the win!

Never not use Linux! There are quite a few goons using it. We even have GTS working on Linux. Jabber and mumble also work. and EFT works fine in WINE.

Reality here: Windows is very good at playing games. Linux is capable, and when the steambox finally reaches reality, it's going to be a lot easier. And at some point, because of Microsoft's pressure, Google is going to release their own Linux distribution. This is pretty much going to happen at some point. When that does, we'll be ahead of the curve.

In the meantime, if you use Linux as a desktop, and have a decent video card, you too can play Eve on Linux.

Yeah... I think I've seen him once coming into the Linux channel to say the same thing. Probably he doesn't have what it take to use a more sophisticated operative system.
