Total comprehensive (loss) income for the period (21,348,050)

Does that mean that CCP lost 21 million dollars in 2013? Ouch! Shocked

Its a CCP Guard simulator, with a bespoke CCP Guard head shaped Oculus RIft HD thrown in to maximise the authenticity of being CCP Guard.

Events include:


  • Bounty Hunting
  • Hiding from Hilmar
  • Eating Punktaris' cakes and totally trying to blame it on the intern.

Yes, but, look at the R&D numbers between 2012 and 2013. CCP is investing in the Future(tm) instead of relying on a 10+ year old niche MMO to keep paying the bills.

They rereleased it with the anniversary box, and i have heard rumors they plan to do something like a computer game with it.

I'm telling you, 5th project is Viking space lasers, fusion, or something else to achieve world domination. EVE and the other projects are just a front. Why else would the CIA/NSA/Goons have such a a presence here? Just you wait, this thread will be locked just to cover it up!

The PS3 is idiosyncratic, and an extremely difficult platform to code for, and it wasn't exactly going to be new by the time DUST launched. Going with a third-party engine was a no-brainer. CCP really need to expand beyond EVE and mmos in general, its an unstable market and I would love to see what they would make.

It would also give the developers something else to work on, EVE for too long can't be healthy.

Could be their mobile app, or PSP Dust thing they mentioned. Either way, it's stupid that they're splitting their resources so many ways. Eve has stabilized, but isn't really growing, Dust is a steaming pile, and the other two we know of aren't released. Where is their money coming from?

Eve, obviously. Eve is carrying the cost of development for 5 projects now? What is wrong with you people? Can anybody at CCP justify this stupidity? I mean ffs. At least wait until Dust is carrying it's own bloody weight, or wait until one of your other games is released.

Yes, but be sure to look at the rest of the document.

Dropping millions into marketing and R&D (from cash you already had on hand) isn't all that bad of a move if you like risks :)

They're taking their real world experiences with the EVE player base and transferring it into an app any corporation can use to obfuscate, procrastinate and generally apply plausible deniability to any commercial enterprise!
