It updates with the eve-central market updater tool which i usually have running (if i remember to turn it on)

CCP takes the manipulation of the market place very seriously, people who have been caught doing this have been banned.

i don't know about 'banned'. but ccp takes corrective action to plex price manipulation, using plex taken from bots and rmt, with the csm acting as oversight

Damn. Another one of these threads? Look, PLEX manipulation happens, but it's rare and people usually lose their a** getting involved. It's like being a small investor in the RL stock markets. You are gambling if you play. Even the most powerful economic entities in game can only manipulate the market for a short time before they risk a tremendous loss. When prices are reasonable, buy a few extra. Use those when manipulation is afoot. It won't last long, I promise. The price of PLEX is too high and the volume traded too large for manipulative forces to overpower natural market forces for long. The longer it lasts the bigger the crash will be on the back-end. Just a word to the wise...

EDIT: Two more points for your consideration -

• PLEX as a commodity has stopped keeping pace with the normal inflation of the new eden market. In real terms (adjusted for inflation), prices are falling.
• PLEX is not "new" to the game. I would bet good ISK there are a few entities that got burned badly on a manipulation attempt, and couldn't swallow their pride and are thus sitting on a big pile of PLEX waiting for someone else to make the same mistake. The newcomer will thereby incur the loss of the former entity.

Nope. My pile averages 636. I make profit either way although current situation suits me just fine..

Someone else bought out the rest of it over the last two days. Theres usually hundreds of plex at range of 650 - 675. And now when i counted, i saw only 52 plex for sale between 657 and 700. almost all of it single-item sales. All the big piles, sales of 20-50 per order, are sold out.

Maybe someone threw some on the market in the last few hours, but its still way below normal to have a hundred or less plex in the 650 - 700 range. This stuff is moved by the 1000's every day.
