I want the old font back!

I just hate the new font, it doesn't look at all SF and all the letters look like thin noodles Evil

I wish an option to change the font to the old one. It shouldn't be that hard. I wouldn't mind a restart required for that option either, the font is loaded at runtime.

Hope you support this. I'm not trolling about general change, i rather like the new nebulae background, but this font is fugly.

Yes please. It is not only really bad the new font, it is GIGANTIC, every window fills up half the screen because of the foint being so god damn huge, you cannot fit anything on the screen!

I am sure the new font helps a lot with the scalable UI (which I am sure a lot of people would be upset about losing), so bringing the old font back may be a bit problematic.

Ability to switch back, even if that disables the scalable UI, might be nice.

I did notice that scaling the UI to 90% (hit escape, somewhere there in the settings) helped me accept the new font. Looked much better. You "new font haters" may want to try that.

Tried that, it helps a bit in some places like tabs and menu items, but not with module names, overview, and the market to name a few.

Overall, I would give the new font a 3/10. Hopefully CCP will continue to improve it.

Surrender is still your slightly less painful option.

Yes, I would have to agree. I think the scalable UI is great but the new font leaves a bit to be desired. A place for improvement in the future.

Only problem I have with the new font is that it's not customizable beyond the right-click menu and chat windows. Every window now looks (and not only looks) like it has half the space it used to - because the font uses mad amount of spacing, which might be great for those with uber resolutions, but really doesn't seem to hit the sweet spot with my 1680x1050 setting.

I run 1920 but it's still too big. And changing size makes it too small. The font is just lame. It has no character either. Diablo would never be successful without cool font. Old font was EVE. New font is just lame, lame. Still, since some people like it just make it an option so people can choose.

the new font is ok if you scale your UI at 100%, but it looks awfull at 90% and is not readable partially.

Agree, this new font is MASSIVE, it eats so much width it's ridicilous.

I scaled my UI to 90% and put "context menu fontsize 9" and it's still massive.

This is what my EVE client is looking like at the moment:
http://i.imgur.com/M8T1N.jpg

There's alot of issues:
* The velocity text is way too big/wide.
* There's no consistency in the size of text. Player names (local), player/location names (overview), type (overview) etc is massive/wide. Same time tab names are small. Chat text is nothing like local text either. Market text is massive, just like the overview, while the right-click menu in space is very small.

The major issue with the new font is not that it's ugly (it is ugly tho). It's just too damn wide even with minimum settings!

Edit; I should add that I like the 90% scaling tho. It's good to see how my chatboxes and local got smaller, that's a definate improvement. It's just too damn sad the massive up-scaling - purely to see the wide overview text - is ruining it. It just makes no sense to give us the option to see more of space, less UI blocking our view, and then you force the overview to take over the whole screen?

At first reading the forums and people complaining about the font i was thinking "what a bunch of whiners"

Now that I patched and saw it, oh m y god... really?

i mean ok, I understand the old font posed some problems, but THIS is the best CCP could do????

It looks terrible... try reading lines and lines of prices in the market, or your notepad notes...

Man, it is such a step back...

I mean, really????? Look, that font is like the LAZIEST thing CCP ever did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Might as well post this here, as it's a good summary of what's wrong with the new font:

I simply can't look at this new font. I don't know what it is, but as little as 5 minutes makes me feel ill. It looks horrible on my UI...like someone put stickers over the previous labels. I never had a problem with the old font. I would much prefer this change rolled back or an option be added to revert.

NEW FONT IS AWSUM!

you can differentiate between O and 0, G and 6, B and 8 and & and is all round more easy to read.

Guess different pvp corps that used dummy corps with O or 0 would be a bit upset tho. Think about Orphanage and 0rphanage. Now you can't confuse them :)

I guess the old UI font could be added client side as a non-default option for who wants it, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

new font is good for people sitting in stations. or bads out in 0.0 who dont know how to link systems in intel channel.

but for those who want a decent overview, goodbye half your screen.

sure, scale it down, which is awesome, except now i have to find my overload button with a microscope. by the time i have got the microscope out and fitted it to my monitor, i have well and truly died and used my awesome new font to type GF in local.

i dont know anyone else who likes it.

it clutters everything up worse than running 900x600 resolution.

i still have a headache from the strain on my eyes.
