2. New font is bad - explain why it is fail:

First of all it is broken at the corners, which makes it harder to read than the old expanded font.
Secondly it scales wrong. At UI scale 90% it becomes so wrongly rendered it's scrambled and unreadable.
Thirdly it is not even optional.

1. Font is good. It solves the reading/differentiation issues of the old font and is actually scalable.

New font Fails- It is too big, blocky, and looks blurry/low-res. The old font looked crisper and sleeker, as well as fit better with the rest of the UI.

1 New font is good

I can finally read it. Clear, clean and readable, it serves the purpose of a font. Easy to read.

1. New font is good - explain why you like it:

New font has classic good looks - does not sacrifice readability for gimmicks like 'looking sci-fi'.

Finally abandons the all caps style of the previous font which vastly improves reading and comprehension speed.

I was initially skeptical of the new font, but after playing with it on Si-Si and now seeing it in production, I am very happy with it and congratulate CCP on a job well done.

Quote:
All-capital print greatly retards speed of reading in comparison with lower-case type. Also, most readers judge all capitals to be less legible. Faster reading of the lower-case print is due to the characteristic word forms furnished by this type. This permits reading by word units, while all capitals tend to be read letter by letter. Furthermore, since all-capital printing takes at least one-third more space than lower case, more fixation pauses are required for reading the same amount of material. The use of all capitals should be dispensed with in every printing situation.

The new font is much better.

If I spent 30+ minutes working on the market with the old font, my eyesight would be blurry and my eyes would hurt. Now, I can sit at a comfortable distance from the screen and not have to strain to read things.

B 8, OD0, and 6 G are all different, as opposed to a blob of pixels now. This is a good thing. Whiners can GTFO.

The new font is better because its not the old one and you can actually tell the difference between O and 0 now and between 5 and S

2 - New font fails. It's too blocky and clashes with the UI. When I think of eve and the futuristic world I think crisp, sleek, and modern. The new font reminds me of the crap fonts we used to have on our computers 10 years ago. As soon as I logged in I literally said WTF?! because of the font. Worst case scenario would be to give us the option to change font, dont know how hard it would be but it would make the people who hate and love the font happy... win-win all around.

It is very readable,
