having a greater income requires having a greater risk.

The problem with your theory is that L5's are already more difficult than a L4 so increased risk= increased reward.

The artificial risk is caused by putting the missions in low sec which makes the risk no where close to the reward.

What many of us want are missions of higher difficulty and higher reward than L4s.

Yes, I know there are incursions but they require a completely different level of time investment than missions. I've done incursions and they are fun, but most of the time I don't want to block off 2-3 hours just to have the chance of making good in incursions. There were times when I did site after site for two hours and made massive money. There were times where I spent an hour waiting for a group and ended up logging off without doing a single site. Incursions have their place, but they are not a replacement for harder missions.

The hardest part of L4 missions is probably the bonus room for Angel's Extravaganza. That room isn't all that hard for a single ship to handle of you kite. Multiple ships only have to sit there and shoot. The only way to make L4s require more skill is to artificially handicap your ship selection which isn't very fun. Why spend time training and saving for the next bigger ship when you have to go back and gimp yourself to get a challenge?

Honestly the rewards from the agents don't even need to go up. Just give me a mission like Blockade with nothing except BS's and maybe a carrier or a dreadnaught as the boss mob. Something that requires logi, severe amounts of tank, torpedoes for max DPS, and some ewar as well.

Give me a reason to want to build a fleet of diverse ships and diverse skills so I have to work to clear a room. Make me use tactics and strategy beyond dps/tank. I want something that tests me and L4s don't do that. On the other hand you can't point to L5s because now I'm no longer dealing with PVE I'm having to worry more about PVP and because of that I can't enjoy the PVE challenge I crave.

"I want risk/reward to scale linearly since risk is already so low lol"

"Please make my no-risk missioning reward even more"

No. Go do L5s in lowsec if you want more rewards from missioning. That's what they're there for.

Even though Eve is a PVP game it would be nice if they had some challenging PVE content. I know incursions are around but they're just a boring grind like level 4 missions.

I think when you mention adding PVE content to Eve many players get scared that it might take away from the PVP focus of Eve. I'll admit that concerns me but I think PVE can be improved without messing up PVP.

Low and Null have plenty of places for PVP. Plus there is always the risk of someone ganking your mission ship so PVP is there and won't be altered. The people worried are the close minded lemmings who think Eve is some kind of hardcore PVP game that only the hardest of the hard play. It's not, it's just an RPG with no PVE servers.

That is your made up argument, not my words so don't put a quote sign around them. I want more challenge in PVE with appropriate rewards to the added risk.

I could make a counter argument that any gank in highsec against a hauler or other unarmed vessel results in zero cargo drop since the reward is out of proportion to the risk. What risk do you take when you attack a defenseless player? You know ahead of time Concord will kill you. The only risk is what will the RNG drop and what will it destroy.

Edit*

I'll go even more on this. First off PVE is not no risk. I've lost ships in PVE just the same as I have PVP. Biggest difference has been my PVE losses were much more expensive and I felt the impact much more severely than anything I've lost in PVP. Which makes PVE have the potential for even greater risk than PVP.

Next, you can't use the words lowsec and missioning in the same sentence and expect any PVE mission runner to take you seriously. We all know that taking a mission ship into lowsec is just a loss waiting to happen. You WILL lose that ship at some point in time and you only hope you've made enough on missions first to offset the loss.

Where is the risk in lowsec for the PVP guy who's hunting the PVE mission runner? There is none. We all know a PVP fit will smoke a PVE fit any day of the week and twice on Saturday. So don't talk about risk vs reward when you clearly are wanting to have all the reward with no risk.

Eve a hardcore PVP game?... No way! Eve is about love and careing!

I understand why few would consider taking a PVE ship into lowsec. Unless your alliance has a strong presence in the area it would be foolish IMO.

Lol. The part I was being sarcastic about was the hardcore portion. Eve is not hardcore, just has a stiff penalty if you aren't in the mood for PVP.

Its balanced now that no-one does them.

Exactly this..LOL.

Lady Areola Fappington:  Solo PVP isn't dead!  You just need to make sure you have your booster, remote rep, cyno, and emergency Falcon alts logged in and ready before you do any solo PVPing.
