Since this bpc is less then 1 min to process, I am sure its safe to say no internal upgrades are done.

So why cant a rigged ship have a skin applied to it?

I know of many ships with very expensive rigs installed that the owners will be ecstatic to apply,
skins to but not at the cost of those expensive rigs.

I'm perfectly happy with a black hyperion and my police comet, and I'd happily unrig either boat to get the skins on.

They have admitted this is an experiment to see how skins go with the playerbase, once the experiment is done, they'll likely have a business case for doing the extensive works to make it a skin and not a hull-id change.

I won't be paying money, real or otherwise to skin a ship, I still have that 5500 AUR sat in my wallet (because stupidly I can't give it away) from when they gave us clothing. Even if I'm the only one who can see it I'd like to be able to just inject a bitmap. They've already done an experiment with ship skins. Nobody uses them.

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

Please Note: Any advice given comes with the caveat that nothing will be suitable for every situation.

My Comet is from before rig sizes so it has large rigs... just because of that I keep it around to chuckle at it, I just couldn't bring myself to rip them out, blinky light or not... even if that's the whole reason I bought it in the first place...
