Could everyone who is still experiencing problems with launcher/install/patching/etc please EVEmail me with the following information

- Launcher version (located in top left of launcher window. I just need the last 6 numbers)
- Did you try the repair tool?
- If yes, did you try it after 14:00 GMT yesterday

Thanks

Just dropping off a couple error logs.

Patch Fail

Repair Fail

Since I'm receiving an IO error, note that I ran both programs with elevated privileges and there's been no change to drive letters.

possible solution to patching issue(s):
delete the patch file located in your EVE directory ("C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\"). the file will be named "EVE_Online_xxxxxx-xxxxxx_win.zip.patch".

note that you should not be deleting the file with the extension ".download" - that file contains the progress on your patch and is not the issue. deleting it will only set you back.

this solution worked for me, so use at your own risk.

Might it be a problem if said file doesn't exist? Also, my patch file has a different extension than the one you gave (EVE_Online_734685-739267_win.patch).

also, if ccp is reading, i found a temporary solution to the "socket closed" disconnection issue.

i was able to fix this by simply running chrome in the background with a page refresh extension. for example, every 30 seconds chrome would automatically refresh the google homepage for me.

i imagine this works by keeping the internet connection alive in some way. obviously not an actual solution, but hopefully could help to identify the root of the issue.

Glad you're investigating, as there's definitely a 'speed bump' before reaching the astroid fields.

Good to hear because I seem to have an issue like this as well but all over the place i.e. not just in asteroid belts but when anything loads. I blame my old PC. Happy hunting. Big smile

Seriously CCP? You just went and deployed a patch while I'm troubleshooting the previous one? That's downright cold, guys.

Patch Fail (2).

Appears to be the exact same issue so I doubt it will be any help, but you never know.

Yeah had that with some DeD sites as well when warping in. I also seem to have a bit less fps now looking at and flying by the astroids. the frames are less smooth now for me. I have only a GT620 card, so I might be pushing it on max settings with the new shader thing that has been added.

I have been downloading for 6 hours now. I tried the repair tool and it appears to be working. However, it will complete downloading the patch in about 8 hours.

I guess Kathleen Sebelius found a job at CCP.

I have att uverse with an upgraded DSL connection. I have never had download issues before.

This is frustrating. Come home from work and I get to stare at a download page - and I paid for this?

I appreciate the response, now if you'll excuse me while I bang my head on the desk. Here's the list of what was locked for whatever reason.

Edit: Why do I get the feeling this isn't exactly ideal?

To the players with the slow download speed with the launcher, you can download the patch payload without the launcher direct from CCP CDN, and then you import it to launcher. It was much quicker for me, since my launcher was crawling to do it.

You will need the client version:
- until 12 march: 734685
- 1.3 patch: 739267
- 1.31 patch: 740727

Go to your download manager program and search for the right one for you:
- http://cdn1.eveonline.com/739267/EVE_Online_734685-739267_win.zip (pre 1.3 >> 1.3)
- http://cdn1.eveonline.com/740727/EVE_Online_739267-740727_win.zip (to 1.3 >> 1.31)
- http://cdn1.eveonline.com/740727/EVE_Online_734685-740727_win.zip (pre 1.3 >> to 1.31)

Save it at desktop (or some easy access folder), unzip it, start the launch, go setting, import it. Profit!

What's you issue? If you talk about the pixel style of the scanner this is the design.
