Level 5 Missions in high sec?

So are there any level 5 missions in high sec? I could not find any, but there are so many factions who can check each one...

The ones I found are all in low sec and I just don't have time for messing around in low sec. Work and three kids has that effect... But I did want to see what the next level is like.

Open the agent finder.

Set faction to any.
Set corporation to any.
Set agent type to any.
Set solar system to any.
Set security status to high.
Uncheck show only available.
Move the agent level slide bar to 5.

All the agents have been filtered out, no lvl 5 agents on high sec of any type for any corp.

Are there level 5 agents in high sec? No.

Are there level 5 missions in high sec? No.

Why? Blame CCP.

I would like to see a level 5 distribution agent take you about 40 jumps, require a freighter, and pass through lowsec to deliver in Jita.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

back long ago you could get lvl 5 missions in highsec, but CCP thought that it was a bit unbalanced to be able to do lvl5s in highsec so it was fixed so that the mission site is never in high.

Kids make that pretty hard. You never know when you'll have to leave the computer, so group content is not ideal.

Having LVL5s in high sec would be too unbalanced.

having a greater income requires having a greater risk.

Does incursion income not exceed Level 5 mission income? I honestly don't know.

Yeah by a huge margin.

Incursions do exceed low sec lvl 5s. They would not exceed high sec lvl 5s. I used to do them with passive tanked rattlesnakes and 250 mil (even factoring in moving the stuff you bought with the loads of LP you gained) wasn't hard to do if you knew where to do it and had high enough standings to ignore the bad missions and the missions that were in low sec.

why cant ccp simply adjust the rewards given to hi sec lv5s the same way they adjust the rewards for hi sec incursions. Then possibly using sleeper based AI and making sure that lv 5s could not be completed solo they could create a good team balance

Static location, can be very short, and presumably they would/should be doable with a group much smaller than incursions.

I'd rather see them fix scout incursions.

Would be much better if they were a bit tougher and required 4 solid ships instead of any 3-5 guys or 2 good ones.

Having a few buddies were you can jump into group play with ease (( Without wrecking your isk pr hour )) is sorely missing from Eve on the PvE side.

5's were already designed to not be soloable but people did it anyway. Balancing level 5 rewards to make them workable in hisec would require adding in a lot of exceptions to a system that currently behaves the same way for all missions in all areas of space.

The problem with your theory is that L5's are already more difficult than a L4 so increased risk= increased reward.

The artificial risk is caused by putting the missions in low sec which makes the risk no where close to the reward.

What many of us want are missions of higher difficulty and higher reward than L4s.

Yes, I know there are incursions but they require a completely different level of time investment than missions. I've done incursions and they are fun, but most of the time I don't want to block off 2-3 hours just to have the chance of making good in incursions. There were times when I did site after site for two hours and made massive money. There were times where I spent an hour waiting for a group and ended up logging off without doing a single site. Incursions have their place, but they are not a replacement for harder missions.

The hardest part of L4 missions is probably the bonus room for Angel's Extravaganza. That room isn't all that hard for a single ship to handle of you kite. Multiple ships only have to sit there and shoot. The only way to make L4s require more skill is to artificially handicap your ship selection which isn't very fun. Why spend time training and saving for the next bigger ship when you have to go back and gimp yourself to get a challenge?

Honestly the rewards from the agents don't even need to go up. Just give me a mission like Blockade with nothing except BS's and maybe a carrier or a dreadnaught as the boss mob. Something that requires logi, severe amounts of tank, torpedoes for max DPS, and some ewar as well.

Give me a reason to want to build a fleet of diverse ships and diverse skills so I have to work to clear a room. Make me use tactics and strategy beyond dps/tank. I want something that tests me and L4s don't do that. On the other hand you can't point to L5s because now I'm no longer dealing with PVE I'm having to worry more about PVP and because of that I can't enjoy the PVE challenge I crave.

Even though Eve is a PVP game it would be nice if they had some challenging PVE content. I know incursions are around but they're just a boring grind like level 4 missions.

I think when you mention adding PVE content to Eve many players get scared that it might take away from the PVP focus of Eve. I'll admit that concerns me but I think PVE can be improved without messing up PVP.
