Why is the patch downloading like dial-up??

Slower then crap for me...normally several Megabytes a second. It might be done in 6-8 hours or so. I did a speed test, connection is screaming.

Grrr...patch server.

It would appear that I won't get to feed my eve addiction tonight. Patch has been downloading now for 2hrs and is just 62%.

27.3 Mbps tested download speed but this patch has taken 3 hours and 20 minutes to download to 62%

Mildly frustrating, but I am glad I put a long skill into training the other day

Put in 12 hours at work today. Came home, fed the kiddo and put him to bed. Jumped on the computer for a little pew pew. And yeah.....nothing...still downloading. I know CCP's country is located on a glacier...but their service doesn't have to emulate that fact.

Downloaded the patch posted here, after the launcher failing all day. Made a mistake myself, and closed the launcher, after importing the patch, which resulted in it deleting the file, without patching. Attempted to try and let the launcher do its thing again...nope. So back to downloading the file posted.

If I didnt have a long supscription, I probably wouldnt even bother screwing about with this nonsense.

download (I recommend to your desktop for ease finding later)
start launcher
in the setting menu of the launcher select the patches tab
click "Import patch"
enter file location (you saved it to desktop right?) highlight and press open

The launcher will now load the patch, then apply it (mine took some 5 minutes)

Done and done.
