Patch downloaded. I was able to log in momentarily, However the game is VERY jumpy and un playable. Logged off and restart my PC. The game now freezes when it attempts to log into server. Can not get a connection. TwistedEvil

Pretty minor, but when using show info on an unpiloted (and fitted) ship it incorrectly displays how many turret slots you have filled, or rather what the maximum turret slots are on said fitted ship. Examples; Thrasher with full rack of guns and neut, displays as having 7/8 turrets fitted, and 0/1 launchers fitted, on a hurricane with full rack of guns and one neut it tells me that i have 6/8 turrets fitted, and 0/3 launchers fitted. However once I board either of these ships it fixes itself showing 7/7 turrets on thrasher, and 6/6 turrets on hurricane.

Edit: Rest seems to work fine, the lighting changes are, well im not sure what to say other than I was upset when my sentinel was no longer black (when crucifier model changed) now my other khanid ships are more grey than black...

About the patch, I downloaded the whole thing (1.29gb) from the launcher then it restarted the 2nd step with a 1.28gb download... not stuck but weird.

Why the "hell" is there not an offline installer for these patches, and made torrent-able? Having to download 1.3GB of data through the launcher is both slow, frustrating and time consuming, especially if you have to install it on more than one computer. On my bandwidth, I've spent 7 hours ( that's SEVEN HOURS) waiting for this thing to finish, and I'm still only at 0.96 GB. And that's the only thing that computer is doing, downloading one file.

That's an unacceptable waste of bandwidth when there are better (and faster) ways to get data.

Tried the repair tool, as client kept failing... Repair tool ground to a halt at 6/7 81.1% then as mentioned before by others could not close. Opened again to retry, got to 6/7 again, stopped at 24.4%. Could not close had to force close... Currently stuck with client at 2/4 60.3%. Don't want compensation... just answers.

But on the plus side.... all the flashy on the client works great...Lol

The "Assign Label" drop down menu on the Add Character window is not sorted alphabetically. I'm not sure what ther sort order is at all actually. It should be sorted the same way is when you open Labels in Contacts, I suggest.

I'm on 9mbps connection and I've been downloading this patch since about 5am, almost 12 hours. I'm currently at 1.04gb, i guess sometime tomorrow I might actually get to log in and update my skill queue. I had 1 day 6 hours last night before DT, but I guess that wont be enough. What is going on?

This is definitely one of the slowest patching updates (in relation to the actual size of the update) I've ever seen. It seems many others are also experiencing this. I've been watching this thread for awhile hoping for some information or even a response from a Dev. What's happening and what is the remedy? o7

Patch stuck at 25%. It got up to 28% but was going so godawful slow (1% per 45min) that I restarted and it shot right back down to 25% and restarted from there at snail speed. I have a hard time believing it's my internet considering I'm downloading other things at 1mb/s+

Jump, jump, jump.

Further testing reveals the Bastion animation is also missing on the Paladin and the Vargur, along with the associated 'deployment'/'retraction' sound effects on all three ships. I don't have a Kronos, so cannot test on that ship.
No animation or sound for the Kronos too. [Update, it's back]

I have issue. Seems that dozens of players are experiencing ridiculously slow downloads like I am, people are getting frozen installations, and client crashes. All of these are reported in this thread. There are 3 comments from Devs: One about blueprints not seen, one about assembly lines, and one about German localization.
I think there is something wrong with CCP computers. They filter out serious problems that prevent subscribers from playing the game, and only pass the most minor annoyances on to CCP employees for response. I recommend that CCP just roll back the game to pre-patch when it worked, and focus on fixing their computers in house so that they can see what the real problems are.

Been trying to update for hours now. I have a 50Meg on my speed test so it isn't by connection. The download for the patch is going extremely slow. I would say a matter of a 100kbs or so, in two hours it has only gone about 3% so you do the math on my speed. Its gotta take me a whole day or more to download it at this pace.

My download has been running for about 9 hours so far. Looking at the tcpdump, that the tcp flow is suffering from a large amount of loss.

I am on Verizon FiOS and I've tested my connection to various other places and I get a fairly good 50-75 Mbps almost everywhere I can find. Somewhere out there is a link screaming at 100% utilization dropping packets on the floor, but I cannot find it. I see my path goes over Cogent, so I'm wondering if that is the problem as Cogent is horrible. CCP any comments?

EDIT: Changed my comments after looking at tcpdump more thoroughly.

As someone who spent a day downloading the patches to get back into the game, only to spend another day to download another broken patch, I find this almost as irritating as funny. Has CCP responded to any posts about the problems people are having downloading the patch, or just the work arounds they have for in-game things? I don't want to go overboard about this, but hell why not? its my first forum post. I wish I could handle the amount of feel bad this gives me.

Lots of Love

PS. When im running the Eve repair tool, seeing female.stuff makes me giggle, but im still mad at you ccp
