Drone nexus chips in drone sites outside drone region?

From the patch notes:

"These new Nexus chips have a chance to drop from ‘Sentient’ Rogue Drones, which can be found in Rogue Drone cosmic anomalies or asteroid belts in Drone controlled regions"

The way I read this, the Nexus chip can only be found in anomalies and astroid belts in drone region.

Does this mean that cosmic signature drone combat sites are not dropping these Nexus chips?

EDIT: Reread the post in features and idea's and I guess only null sec is affected by this change.

A real shame, as I imagined drone sites might even become worth running in the future. What a shame.

Second blue post of the thread. How is this in any way unclear? Sentient drones spawn in sites outside nullsec, therefore you can get the chips outside nullsec.

You read wrong. They can drop from any sentient drone anywhere. In other words they can come from drone cosmic anomalies or signatures that are found all across space. CCP Rise specifically confirmed this in the F&I thread and a careful reading of the patch notes will confirm it. The "drone controlled regions" only refers to finding rogue drones in asteroid belts.
