I don't know how many people will be interested in this, but I thought I would share it anyway. I made a spreadsheet for comparing armor repairers and another for shield boosters. More data may be added, but I'm not sure I'll had the different meta versions of them, unless it's explicitly requested. And any other ideas for data to add? I'm thinking about putting the data in for how they'll operate with a ship bonused to them, also.

i've worked on shield booster efficiency so many times i've started to think i have them all down-pat. All you need to know is that all small and medium deadspace shield boosters are OP as ****, and gist L and XL boosters are as well, although particularly the XL ones. Literally the numbers make no sense, ESPECIALLY when compared with armor reppers. Armor repping is more cap efficient generally, but all deadspace armor reppers progress naturally in performance increases. Same for PIth L/XL boosters. All the other deadspace bosters get wtf numbers starting at the C-type, surpassing even teh best deadspace armor reps for efficiency (when armor is as a rule, more efficient). Fozzie had a chance to rebalance these when looking at active modules, instead he just left everything mostly the same, but he also made the DG shield boosters worse than their t2 counterparts, when they used to be better.

You're missing b-types.

Dread guristas and domination boosters. They are not identical to the CN versions.

I wonder, with Crystal affect Small to XL SB but not Capital. is it more effective for shield tank capital to run 2 Pith over Capital?

If they're OP why aren't they showing up on more loss mails? Or was this a secret till now?

Because they are expensive and mostly used on blingy PVE ships.

That plus ASBs, which give a bursty tank roughly equivalent to a Pith B for a fraction of the cost. When you're looking for pure burst ASB is still a better option for almost no isk.

So they're pretty much only a threat to NPC's lol

Yea I don't see anyone using a deadspace booster over an ASB. A few hundred million cheaper and better to boot!

pith b-type XLSB is only 75 mill or so and boosts harder than XLASB. Ya'll are just peasants. Medium SBs are super expensive because pve tengus use them.

On certain fits yeah a Pith B-Type XLSB would be superior to an XLASB, but good luck running it under neuts, while a double XLASB fit laughs at neuts.

uh no. THey're super expensive because they have insane cap efficiency (viable on marauders pre-rubicon). C-types used to be in the 300m range, the only reason they're cheaper is that every hs explorer and their mom operates in caldari space). If they had the same progression as other modules (10% increased boost per meta level) no one would care that much. Its largely because of these modules that tengus tank as well as they do in pve. t2/faction booster pve tengus are pretty much a rarity, and that's because the t2 module is junk by comparison, not because every tengu is blinged out.

didnt they exclude medium deadspace boosters from the buff a couple patches ago? I am sure there was something to that effect.

It's not only the c-types tumbling down in price anyway (although they have had the steepest decline) - even a-types aren't worth half than what they used to be.

It is probably a combination of factors.

950dps capstable doublepaint hamgu is quite the insane missioner for a 500mil pricetag.
