EVE crashes my VLC(video player)

If I tab into EVE, any video that I watch using VLC(media player) will instantly crash. Is this common and does anyone know a workaround?

It is not an issue here.

I run Eve in fixed window mode.

I tried a couple different videos using different codecs in VLC, none crashed when tabbing back and forth. No difference if VLC run in window or fullscreen mode.

Here is what fixes this for me. In VLC click:

Tools > Preferences > Video > Change Output to 'OpenGL video output'
