The Launcher stops at this point:

(3/4): APPLYING EVE_ONLINE_681196-709728_WIN.PATCH: 100.0%

and stay there.

I have reinstalled the EVEOnlineLauncher_2_1_655130, I tried to clean the cache data.
But , again and again, the process stops. Two days lost.

As you can see in the beginning of this thread I have already complained about this launcher software in April 2012.
Now, nearly 2 years later we have same problems. The launcher update is "unsuccessful" for whatever reason.
Same like 2 years ago I have noticed that the "upload server" is NOT maintaining the download speed. It's going from 1.0KB/sec. till 100KB/sec. with complete interruptions of up to 15 sec.! It the download is longer interrupted than 10 sec. the launcher is breaking up - update unsuccessful - it can't resume! I had a lot complained about that in the past and now it is happened again.

I have double checked with my ISP and there was no problem found on our side! I can download from anywhere around the world with a continue data stream of 124KB/sec. without any trouble. My ISP is telling that the problem is within "CCP's-Software-Update-Upload-Server"!
The web page for manual patching is not working at all - it's not possible to enter the actual client version and only a full software download is advised which is impossible too because of the upload problems of CCP's upload server!
Right now everything is a total mass!

With best regards

Anyone have the 708191 to 709728 patch I'll be your best friendLol

Please?

That patch is only 20.98 MB. Still an annoyance for some of us that have crappy internet connections and limited speeds, but much easier to handle than the 1.1 GB beast that is the 681196-708191 patch.

Is there any way to download the new patches manually? Launcher refuses to update my client ("creating xxx - xxx" without displaying the download speed, slows my PC down to a crawl, bar moves at about 0.1% per minute and then inevitably fails every single time), the last few days have been a nightmare, having to download and re-install the entire game every time a patch is out.

Which patch are you having issue with? The official answer from CCP for any patch issues would be to run the repair tool, although if that is not an option for you, the solution would have to be based on what version you're trying to patch from. For me, I had to download this patch - http://content.eveonline.com/708191/EVE_Online_681196-708191_win.zip - then import that into the launcher and restart. From there the launcher patched fine from 708191 to 709728.

It would appear the problems were on my end, my primary HDD is pretty old and bad sectors are starting to pop up. Managed to get it to work.

Still, good to know where I can grab the patches from, cheers.

I cannot find EVE_Online_710254-710875_win.patch. I have had update issues for the past 6 months and I had been re-downloading the entire client from scratch every time there was a patch. I just resubbed two accounts but it looks like this isn't fixed.

If anyone can point me to the EVE_Online_710254-710875_win.patch file, I would be very grateful.

A link for the support pages sends you to a thread which says it is no longer a supported alternative ? Get rid of the link and thread then ?

create an easy manual patch download for the numerous people that the launcher fails everytime for?

******* pathetic . i'm not gonna carry on doing this .. nearly every day going to ''Can't Patch'' thread to download a player uploaded manual patch download just to keep my last eve account going for the last 10 days of its sub.

Tell me why I should carry on following all your 1-5 year old support links and threads and stickies which should never have been stickied , reading all the 100's of posts from people having the same issue flailing like fish with no help in the slightest from useless game makers who seem blindly obsessed with creating more imbalanced pointless **** in a great game instead fixing the launcher.

I'm experimenting the very same issue that you are describing : launcher stucked at 100% when patching or unsucessful patch whatever.
This problem occurs on both my mac and PC. I just performed a full reset of my PC and the problem is still there.

Seriously guys, do something. You just can't let it going on.

Since a couple of months the launcher has been utter crap. Almost every patch it hangs somewhere in between 0% and 100% when creating winpatch-XXX. Would be nice if this was resolved. The repair tool sometimes helps. Sometimes starting the bin/exefile.exe helps, other times, I have to reinstall the entire client ...

Same problem here. Sometimes it helped to delete the partly downloaded patch after killing the launcher and start the launcher again.

Method from first page still works for me (at least i am downloading the patch file now). You just have to know you current installed version number and current live version number an manually alter the url. Hope it patches at home.

But yes, it would be a nice service if CCP could offer an easier alternative of manually downloading patches. I am currently still on mobile connection at home and have a monthly cap, so a 1.3 GB download not only takes long, but also eats way into the monthly allowance. Being able to at least still get the patch file from my work computer and carry it home by sneakernet is a nice workaround.

Sounds like we're in similar boats (4G hotspot because cable/dsl isn't available where I live).

Can you share the link you're using to download the patch or barring that, the version numbers used? I logged in about 12 hours ago, so my current version should be up to date prior to today's monster patch.

Doh.

I'll give that link a spin. Thanks much!

EDIT: That other link, Current will be helpful in the future (dropdown shows current version and past versions in order).

Thanks again.

I too was experiencing issues with patching today... tried what one of the other folks said fixed his issue. Disable ESET for 10 minutes and everything worked like a charm. Never had any issues before today, but hey, disable your AV for a bit and see if it helps.

I'm curious if anyone else is having issues pulling the EVE_Online_734685-739267_win.zip file? My download manager's bandwidth chart is looking like an EKG readout with short spikes of data followed by nothing.
