Frigate paint; around 45 AURUM (~$0.23-$0.26) for a single application
Battleship paint; around 350 AURUM (~$1.75-$2.00) for a single application


This is some pretty greedy **** considering your making 20 bones off plex prices right now, and 15 bones from people paying for sub's your going to charge a fee for spaceship paint? Your expansions are just barely relevant enough to be considered expansions a new ship here a new module there just give it to the player base enough of this Arurm marketplace garbage.

And don't ruin it for the rest of us if you are too poor to pay a quater dollar to paint a ship. Remember that this is just the first step. There will be more ship paints from LP and other ingame methods in the future .... given that ppl like you dont throw a tantrum.

This is optional, just as buying different clothes are. This doesn't make your ship better, it is all cosmetic. And, I wouldn't be surprised if people put the blueprints up on market so you can pay with ISK if you want.

Bottom line, if you don't like it, don't paint your ship.

What is the issue?

You take your ISK, buy a plex convert to Aurum and there you go. You dont need to pay real money for it.

I love the idea of ship painting, but since this is a monthly subscription based game I hate that it will involve the cash shop. How greedy can a company get!

Would you like your subscription money to pay for ship paint, or better game mechanics and better servers? Development costs money. And this is what microtransactions are for. EVERY MMO has them. However, while most allow you to buy things that make your stuff better, CCP is only selling decorations.

With ISK you buy PLEX. With PLEX you convert to AUR.

Did you not understand this process of conversion?

As to LP stores, who knows, one day there might be LP paintjobs too.
And if AUR becomes more popular, there might be more direct ways to purchase it for ISK at sometime in future (instead of only indirectly converting it from PLEX)

So you see, what you perceived as a problem, is actually not a problem at all.
All is well with the world and EVE. No reason to panic your pretty head.
