First of all, this is not a complaint, just an idea.

Anyway, a single PLEX if you purchase it through the Account Management page is $19.95 according to the website. When you redeem that PLEX in game for game time, you get 30 days of play time. Now, if you pay for your subscription with credit card, it's only $14.95. $5 less.

I figured out if you pay via Credit Card, it's $.4983 a day to play for 30 days.

So, my thought is this... why not increase the in game time you get for redeeming a PLEX to 40 days instead of 30 days to balance out the difference of the costs of subscriptions. Plus, with the prices of PLEX skyrocketing in game because of all the new shinies CCP is adding, it'd make your ISK work better for you so you don't have to slave so hard to earn it to play.

Some of us cannot afford to pay with real life money because of financial situations out of game, and the prices of PLEX is eventually going to make it so I cannot play any longer. I thought maybe doing something like this will help keep people playing. I've already known a couple of people who had to stop playing because of the cost of PLEX. I hope I'm not one of them. Sad

I've never used PLEX so I don't really have an educated opinion about this, but I just wanted to add that the monthly price goes down to $10.95 if you take a 12-months plan rather than a single month, which might be something you want to take into account in your argument.

PLEX is intended to be more expensive by design. It's not a flaw that is going to be fixed. You being poor and unwilling to engage in more lucrative in-game activities is also not a problem CCP needs to solve for you. More to the point, if paying for the game is not a workable option for you and you don't want to spend time grinding money for a PLEX, simply stop playing. It's just a game.

I personally cashed out on somer blink during the 1 billion idk per GTC giveaway.
it was around $6.50 per month

plex has more uses than raw game time, because it can be converted into isk, aurum, extra character training, or account subscription, whereas subscription's only useful for just that.

to that end, I think that paying for dual character training should be cheaper than the cost of a single plex if you're paying real money.

For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... If your idea can be abused, it [u]WILL[/u] be.
