Dear CCP: Why don't you learn?

The new font is hideous. Honestly, it looks like a debug font that no one got around to changing. It may be more readable, but give us the option for the old one. It's really not that hard.

Fix the logi popup bug and give us the option to suppress the warning all together. Not all of us are stupid carebears who are too dumb to stay alive.

Bring back ship spinning -- Oh wait, you did learn on that one.

Can you please learn from that example and stop changing things for the worse without giving us the opportunity to suppress teh changes?

CCP did learn, they learned that they cant' make all the people happy all the time, there always will be people that wont be happy with what CCP does.

By letting us make simple choices about our experiences they can make quite a bit more people happy. Right now, people who want CQ get it, people who want spinning ships are happy too, and people who want both can switch.

Everybody wins!

They did, its called the test server my man.



How does the test server let me switch fonts or suppress a useless, annoying, and often severely damaging message?

The funny thing is that the outcry would be 10x as big if they were switching from this font to the old one. The old font sucked man, let it die.

Personally, I like the new font. I don't like how I have to rearrange all my windows again, but I can live with that.

Honestly, it's insulting to ask a paying customer to do a QA tester's job and go on the test server.

When you're a customer paying for a premium service like EVE, you should expect it to be done right the first time it's presented to you. How we got to the point where we're expected to do something that most developers pay people to do just to get the service we paid for is beyond me.

And it's fine that you do. I'd like to have the option. It would be pretty easy to give us a selection of fonts to use.

Uh... they had the font on sisi for weeks. And it was well-reviewed. Why didn't you complain then? Oh, wait... you don't go to sisi.

OP should take trolling lessons, because they rode the failboat to this thread.

Somehow i don't even find the new font better readable..

ugly as hell, and not even an improvement to the old one.

CCP still has things to learn in the UI department..

oh, btw.. UI Scaling is probably nice, if only you could select which parts to increase..

I'm not a fan of the new font, but it's more readable over the other one. the new font seems out of place with the spacey style of EVE.

The font didn't really need much 'testing' done on the test server. However, those of you who do not like it have had a chance to respond and provide your negative feedback long before it went live. there was even a devblog about it in case you don't want to get on the test server. A devblog with screenshots and samples of the new font that you could see and comment on.

Either you did not provide your feedback at all to the samples and test server version that was shown, or you were simply ignored because you were the minority.

I said from the get go that it's more readable. Doesn't mean it's better. It looks like comic sans and is completely out of place. I personally didn't complain until now because I assumed even CCP could get something simple like this right and make it a selection instead of the only choice.
