Passive resistance bonuses not working

I'm not sure if I'm missing something here, but my passive shield modules don't seem to be working at all.

I'm fitting a drake, and I've got an Adaptive invulnerability field I & a Damage control I in my setup. Basically, before I apply either of them, my shield resistances are 4 / 24 / 43 / 52 respectively. Now my understanding was that if I apply an adaptive invulnerability field, that I should gain an increase in all of them, I.e. The 25% it promises. Likewise for the damage control, a 75% increase to shields, 10 to armour and 50 to hull.

The problem is that none of this happens. I can apply one of them, or both of them and my resistances don't change at all. I've undocked to check them in space and they still don't change, so where are my resistances going? Could they not show in the fitting window but still be active?

No matter what I try, neither my shield, armour or hull resistances show any sign of change, even when I show info on my ship in space it still shows the same, so as far as other players are concerned using em missiles will ruin my ship, and as far as I can tell from the menu's this is still true despite my expensive upgrades.

Thoughts anyone?

Adaptive invuln is not a passive module. It's an active module. Like damage control it has to be turned on (in space) before it's of any use.

The fitting window while docked won't show them. Undock, activate the modules and you should see the efffects.

Ahhhh crap. You're right, I didn't realise they were both active modules. Don't I feel like a gimp haha. Thanks for the clarity.
