I work in a school to pay for EVE

This year I have pulled the wonderful duty of planning April Fools Day, now I could go onto google and pull off a list of the same old gags everyone uses...

But I thought why not see what ideas the EVE community could come up with.

So I am looking for suggestions of pranks that can be played on children throughout their school day,

for obvious reasons they need to be (reasonably) safe and produce as much amusement to watching adults as possible.

Scammers are currently selling killrights on this toon for up to 5mil, if you have paid for this service demand your money back at once.

Killing me should be for free.

Walk into class and announce "The Bieb is DEAD !"

(Or that he ate Miley's Demonic Tongue for breakfast.)

If there is any art on the walls and you have access to copying, copy it and photoshop/draw over the copies. Things like top hats and monocles, claws, moustache, go karts in the background etc. Put the copies up for the day.

I've been trying to think of some good pranks, but I always end up thinking about how they could go horribly wrong. Like, some kid is late to catch the joke, gets conspicuously pranked harder than everybody else, gets laughed at and humiliated. Maybe doing pranks on the teachers, with the kids watching, would be funnier than actually pranking the kids themselves(?)

Kids will be kids. You can't expect them to grow past that stage if they don't grow through it. It hurts to be picked on in school, but it hurts a lot more to grow up with messed up social skills and an unrealistically lax expectation of reality.

Switch the salt and the sugar.

(if seating is arranged) Move desks around.

(if there are personal lockers) Reverse everyone's lockers and insist it has always been that way.

Get a lot of sticky notes (the little yellow ones) and completely cover someone's desk in them.

Get someone to take the guise of the "giant stuffed toy in the corner"... have them reach out to the occasional kid as they pass by.

Attach a rubber rat to a fishing line... attach the other end of the line it to a spring-loaded spool so the "rat" will streak across the room under everyone's feet.

Get a rubber eyeball... cover it in clear goo... "accidentally" hit your head and have the eyeball "pop" out... have everyone help you find it.

"Play" with scissors... "lose" some fingers (have liberal amounts of ketchup ready).

Give them a pop quiz... make it impossibly hard (use those double and triple negatives!)... say that half their grade for the semester/trimester/quarter will be based on it... after collecting them and letting the kids stew in shame and worry for a minute or so... burn the stack of quizzes in front of them while saying "April Fools!"

Come into class al la "Mrs. Doubtfire" style.

Put up some made up rules (which must be plausible and convincing .. must also be easily broken), then institute enforcement and a fine. Anything from extra homework, cleaning duties etc etc.
On April 2, announce everything has been revoked, everything back to normal. That should get some howls from those that did the work.
