I've got a Papercuts programmer looking at this now. Thanks for pointing it out.

Haven't been able to check Sisi in a while, but I'm wondering if the "JUMP" command still exists on all stargate menus even if you're not warping to that stargate, or any stargate at all.

yes if you are warping to a stargate after commanding it to jump all startgates on the right click menu still show the jump command. only thing it does is cancel the jump command on the gate you are in warp to.

It's not just after commanding it to jump or when warping to gate. It's any warp at all; bookmark, belt, anything.

I was playing around on SiSi last night and a few thoughts that I hope are addressed, or will be addressed in the near future:

F10 Map:

1. The little expanding on rollover is insane. It causes the server to be queried each time you roll over a star, and many times it expands too quickly so a star I originally intended to focus on is covered up by the expanded list for another star, and since my mouse is now over the expanded list, it expands all of the planets and stations - all for a star that I had no intention of looking at.

2. Change to a click-to-expand system. Rolling over is ok to show the routes, but currently rolling over a star deselects the other star I already had selected. The clear simple fix for this is to allow selection only for clicking a star.

3. F11 Map covers over the F10 map, however it doesn't stop the F10 map from being interacted with - so for instance if your mouse is hovering over the F11 map, it will select a star in the F10 map, even if that star is underneath the F11 overlay map.

Solar System Map:

1. Clicking on an entity should change the rotation of the solar system to be around that entity, so you can zoom in to that selected area. Currently the entire solar system rotates around the sun, and does not change, so it's literally impossible to narrow down your search.

2. Currently there are multiple info tabs open that cover over each other, I'm assuming they are for your current station you're docked at, and current moon or whatever. Based on your viewing angle though, the info tabs cover each other up instead of stacking. Again, this would be better if you can select a celestial that you wish to focus on, both changing rotation and opening up a little info tab for the item you selected.

3. Including a Reset View button would be nice too, for both F10 Map & Solar System map.

Engine Trails:

1. Flying a Tengu, my trails are currently BLUE, however my engine is currently bright YELLOW. It looks a little strange, I'd think that the trail's color should be dependent upon the current engine.

2. Trails disappear abruptly when going into warp, and reappear abruptly when leaving warp. I think they should continue while in warp, and for those that are in a system watching another player warp off it would be cool to see a faint trail in the direction of their warp that fades out. Also there should be a softer distinction between the engine trail and the actual engine. The idea is that the engine is making the trails and is an optical effect made similar to a low shutter speed taking a picture at night, not that they're streamers made out of plastic attached to the rear of our ships.

3. No difference graphically between afterburners, MWD, or basic engines.

4. Trail lines are a bit too sharp and remind me of Tron lightcycles - shouldn't they blur a bit, the farther they are from the
engines?

Audio:

1. I don't hear my ship's engine, and only when in warp I hear the engine kick in about a second after going into warp. I would think I would hear some more powerful engines when kicking in my MWD, afterburners, or warping. I see the engines' graphics go into overdrive when warping, but don't hear the appropriate audio.

Multi-Monitor Support:

1. Would it be possible to limit the 3d viewport to a set screen resolution, ie 1900x1200, while allowing more screen real-estate for the overview & chat & other windows?

Hi, thanks for the post. I can't give you definitive answers on these but I've passed your post on to the relevant people.

Sweet! Thanks! I think with some minor tweaks the F10 map could really be useful for planning a route or just getting your bearings for where you are in the Eve universe. As it is currently though it's totally unusable, and chances are I'm not alone in my thinking.

That is an interesting bug in and of itself, if you can reproduce this please take the time to gather logs in the old fashioned way via the LogServer tool and file a bug report via the old web interface.

Its got something to do with the location of the saved screen shots. I keept getting that error after placing both errows and comments in a screen shot. Did the same to a second one and then had to go back and delete the first becouse it keep giveing that error. When that pop up happens it does not send the bug report to the server. even though it says it does.

There needs to be a way to take a screen shot while a right click menu is open. Bug reporting problems with right click menus under this system is hard to do.

Hi, Any chance that you can send in a bug report of this error in action and send us a .lbw file from your logserver as well as the .zip file that the bug reporting tool generates here: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\IGBR

Regarding the screenshot, you can click control-shift-alt-p to grab a screenshot when the bug reporting window is open. You can use this when you have a right click menu or a modal popup that you need to grab.

I don't know when or if this feature will be available on TQ. Could you try it on Singularity?

CCP please how about in future giving people an option on where the patch is unpacked to. have so far heard two corp mates complaining that you get no option, with SSD drives now the norm for your OS and program drives space is no longer not an option.
The updater doesn't even check how much space you have free on the drive it tries to unpack the update to. End result if it dumbly tries on drives that dont have enough space and it crashes machines.
It's only temporary files in the end, it really cant be that difficult to give us an option.

I second this -- I haven't experienced any issues downloading the patch so far (it's about half done), but clumsy temp-file unpacking can cause problems down the road...

We are looking into adding something like this into the launcher that is being worked on, but it's still a few months (at least) away from release.

If one does not want to unpack things on your SSD, you should change your default unpack location (this is not a EVE specific issue, the users should solve it.)

On tranq if you open your asset window, order by jump then open one of the locations for example 1 jump out , all the locations re-order themselves seemingly randomly.

Captains Quarters

Caldari trying to find the sweet spot on the sofa to get the sit/stand command is a pain, also movement was really buggy.
