And did you know that Iceland doesn't have a McDonald's? I find that hard to imagine.... Discover McDonald's Around the Globe :: AboutMcDonalds.com

They used to, but because all the meat had to be imported from overseas, they had to close because it was unprofitable.

Didn't they just dump the franchise and go solo with local suppliers?

This is now a thread about good eating in Iceland.

That's kind of alarming. If importing McDonald's ingredients isn't cost-effective, what's Iceland going to do if they ever need to import goods that are actually perishable?

You can technically find cost effective "beef" anywhere, as long as you don't ask whats in it.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

These guys eat shark that's been rotting for 12 weeks, I'm sure some beef from questionable origin isn't a problem.

"Cost effective beef"-- that has a nice corporate ring to it. I'd like mine very well done, and maybe hidden under some cost effective gravy.

"Gravy".

I remember feeding my childhood dog a dogfood that if you poured water on it, it made "gravy". Gravy Train I think it was called.

Waiter, id like the "fresh" "Beef" and "gravy" special please.

Everything is better with quotation marks. Well, not better, but better than the FDA's labeling mandates..because then "Beef" with "gravy" would end up being called "Processed beef flavored product with other natural and artificial flavorings, made with chicken, pork, beef, llama, ostrich, human, and other protein sources."

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I heard MacDonalds main cost was importing cryogenically cooled onions from Germany.

Something like this, apparently.
When a kilo of onions costs as much as a bottle of whiskey, you have to reevaluate your merchandise....

Thread locked, for the connection EvE's in-game currency > CCP > Iceland > Icelandic real world currency code is a bit far fetched to post about in GD.
