Stay tuned for "tomorrow's comedy WH post" because you know.. it was all apart of his plan and he didn't want that hole anymore anyway.

Might as well put some flesh on this.

I stole corbexx write up and rewrote it a little to add more details.

We have a bit of history with goblin one of our newer members used to live in that wh with a tiny wormhole group when goblin came to evicted him he asked us to come in and help. We weren't all that interested (we didn't know who goblin was at that time, but then we were told that Goblin had built a phoenix in there and well Phoenix is a cap you don't get a lot of chances to kill in wormhole and definitively not in a C1, our interest thus peaked we told him we would come and fight stuff and we headed on over. We killed that dread then came back next day to kill him again and some of noir whom he had hired to protect him. We didn't have any interest in sieging any towers and thus we left. That guy joined us thus and also left a alt in Goblins hard won hole.

He posted a intell thread on our forum about what was happening so we decided to come on down have some fun. We got into the hole no problem (neither goons nor rvb had hole control)

Both goons and rvb thought we were there to defend him at the start till goblin offered to hire us in local, We considered this for our usual price .... a song delivered on our TS. Goblins tears are worth their weight in blogs, but his voice crackling away singing kumbaya on our coms would be worth even more to us. Goblin was no sport and flat out refused Sad

Our FC entered into a bit of diplo work with RVB, After the crap that Goblin spouted about us on his blog after our last encounter we had marked him down for some shenanigans at some point, but fair play to RVB and goons they were the ones who had done the groundwork here.

We offered terms to RVB. one song on our coms and a post tower death fight and they would get entry to the system. They heartily agreed and 50 of them entered our coms to sing little bees and then one of their guys tackled what is probably the closest we have to an anthem (A butchered version of 'The lion sleeps tonight')

Our craving for musical diversion filled we provided the new hs entrance with joy in our hearts. We saw their fleet of 80 dudes and figured our 22 man fleet might have chewed more then we could swallow and we told them we would ask some wh bro's for help to even the odds, but let them know we would take the fight regardless of batphone outcome. Quick diploing around and we found that Ixtab would heed the call with a 27 man gang.

They killed the tower, damian who used to live in there was sent over to kill mail ***** on the tower for his revenge on goblin.

we then had a nice scrap with rvb, they left saying they'd be back to finish the poco's later. As greedy has said our kb efficiency is terrible so we padded our kb with most his pos mods and left, after sorting a nice fresh wh for rvb and some bm's so they could get back in easily.

Fun was had by all except perchance poor Goblin Cool

You scoundrels.

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

We came across that hole a few weeks ago. Took me a few minutes of looking at wormhole.es, investigating the capital ship usage, and examining the killboard history to figure out that it was one in the same from his blog post. Had quite a few anoms that I think we farmed which made me laugh after all his blustering about zombie residents

I can honestly say that yesterday was once of my most enjoyable days in Eve, and it was in part due to No-Ho being so cool about the whole thing. Thanks! :)

Nice writeup from the noho point of view. I'll be sure to link it to gevlon when he inevitably gets things wrong on his blog. He doesn't get that people sometimes try to have a fight, even one they think they'll lose, for the fun of it

So NOHO 'won' because they got a song and a fight = fun
Goons & co 'won' because they evicted Gevlon = objective
Gevlon 'won' because Goons & co spent a lot of hours evicting him = isk/effort war.

This sums it up perfectly.

Eve generates many of these in fact depending upon perspective most situations are win/win

One example. A division of Norco started it's 0.0 life in a Alliance I ran in fountain
We lived out of NPC stations harassing bob and their renters Xelas.
We were proper noobs flying alpha destroyer doctrines and T1 cruiser doctrines to learn the ropes.

One of my indu guys emptied their Player stations of mods and put everything back on market at double markup.
Then we ran alpha thrasher fleets versus Bob's pimped Hac fleets where we would pop as much of their **** as we could before we they burned us down.
We lost a fraction of the isk they did with their (then very expensive clones) and fits versus our thrashers.
They had the fun of ganking a entire fleet for a few losses, we had the fun of ganking the pro'est guys in eve loosing 20 million to do it.
And then we made our isk back when they bought their ships of our corp orders in their own player stations and the cycle would repeat

Win/Win/Win Cool

Gevlon's main malfunction is that he doesn't understand the value of Isk, and how Isk has less value in a group the larger that group becomes. One person's 1b loss is greater than a group's 1b loss.

Isk is worthless unless it's being spent, and if it's being spent on having fun and kicking over an idiot's sandcastle, you're winning at Eve.

And don't get me started on his "man hours" nonsense. Maybe if he wasn't so insufferable, he'd get to know how much fun even an otherwise tedious structure shoot/rep/defense is when it's in a good social group who are capable of talking to each other.

It's always a 'win' for Gevlon because he changes his victory conditions with every post.

This whole endeavour of his has gone something like:

The goal is! ...

.. reinforce POCOs to stop Goons making money
.. take POCOs to stop goons making money
.. to wardec and cause damage
.. to wardec and cause the CFC to collapse
.. to wardec and make our 'pets' abandon us
.. claim we're dying by graphing it
.. to wardec to cause damage
.. to take POCOs
.. to misunderstand ROI and wardec
.. to make the CFC collapse by wardec
.. to kill RvB because they're 'pets'
.. to lose his own WH killing a couple of sabres on the way out

I have no idea what it will be by next week!
