Is there not an option to lock windows any more? I don't see it on the test server.

Speaking of sisi. every time i log in, dock, undock my windows get moved around. That's not going to happen in the actual release right? Shocked

Nope, there isn't. See here.

From the patch notes:

Quote:
  • UI windows that are snapped to the Neocom or map panel will now stay put as you dock orundock. Unfortunately the root cause was the ‘Lock windows when pinned’option so that has been removed.

  • That's going to be a game-breaking change for a very large number of people, Navigator. It should be listed in the issues, and then fixed ASAP if it won't be fixed for tomorrow. EVE's UI is already difficult enough to work with, without windows moving all over the place from stray clicks during combat. Did anyone try removing the snapping feature instead of the one that makes the UI resemble something useful?

I could probably tolerate the eye-melting and migraine-generating new font if it weren't for that little "fix" right there.

Well as long as the windows don't move on their own. I can deal with them moving because I clicked wrong.

Thx for the heads up CCP!
Things are going in the right direction it seems... finally!:) All good stuff happening lately.

But, this expansion is more like a big bunch of bigfixes, and long awaited balance changes, with some visual fluff. So technically it ain't really an expansion. This could have been done throughout the years past. Don't wana troll here, just pointing it out. :)

As an IT Guy I can say this and laugh.. This sounds like we are going from Vista to Windows 7.

Are you ******* kidding me?! that's amazing!

Oh and CCP warning us about things that will happen one day beforehand. Upgraded communication skill now to Lvl 2.

    Hear hear!

While we may number in the minority, I am sure there are still many other people who are in the middle of their work day when they find out that the system is not going to be available for a substantial period and there is no chance to add training to the skill queue.

A week notice would not be extreme in anyone's language. I your update is ready for deployment today, then it will still be ready next Tuesday.

Alternatively, it wiould be cool to manipulate training queues via eve-gate.

That's what unchecking the "lock windows when pinned" checkbox has been for for ages.

You might be okay with random mouseclicks wreaking havoc on your window arrangement, but a lot of people are not.

Again the Caldari draw the short straw and get stuck with the worst of the new ships. It's a weaker version of the Ferox but with bigger guns. Please give us the option to fit it with missiles like it was planned.

    Greetings Capsuleers,

After much feedback on our patch notes and general deployment system, we are starting this thread in the issues and workarounds section before major updates. We have gone through the final debugs and have a release client for Crucible ready for Tuesday Nov 29th. The final passes brought up some things you ought to know in advance:

    • Patch size: Is big, near 1.5 GB. That is to be expected since we’re replacing all of the nebulae and about half of the player ships with new V3 shader models along with three new shiny captain’s quarters. This is just a courtesy “heads up.”
    • UI reset: We are adding scalable UI which is going to necessitate resetting all of your carefully placed windows. We’re going to apologize for this in advance, but forward work on the UI meant this needed to happen.
    • Overview glitches in edge cases: We will be monitoring the overview settings during extreme scenarios, such as a massive fleet engagement, to ensure that the overview will display properly in all cases. Should you notice any unusual behavior, we would appreciate if you could send a detailed bug report.

We will keep these issues updated in the immediate term, but wanted you to know we acknowledge and are on them right now.

I'm still having overview issues. I didn't hear anything about my previous bug report (ID: 119656) so I put in a new report after having more issues on the current TQ build. (ID: 120154)

Has anyone noticed a decrease in mining amount per cycle? I was mining 1925 m3 per cycle with two T1 strip miners and boosts from Orca piloted by Delphina Amaranthus yesterday. Today, I was only mining 1916 m3 per cycle under the same conditions. Could the ore type make a difference? I'm pretty sure I was mining more veld today though.

Know what your 'UI-reset' has done?

It's blanked the screen several times.

    And it's crashed the game.

    All probably stemming same issue.

Give me a good reason why I shouldn't cancel.

Having no problems because i haven't downloaded the client. And i don't expect to do so in a week or so. Because i'm used to this!

Now it's toggle window display and you can't seem to "pin" them. Last night my windows kept moving every time I docked/undocked and now I have a window which the title bar went above the screen so I can't even get to it now!

The whole "windows bounce around on their own" concept is broken BY CONCEPT. Bloody stupid idea that CCP has never understood to BE a stupid and VERY IRRITATING concept.

Hint, CCP - it's NOT "smartwindows" functionality, it's actually "BLOODY STUPID **** OFF PLAYERS FOR NO REASON" functionality that should never have been inflicted on Eve players at all. There should be NO REASON to ever have to "lock" a window in place, they should stay where they are put PERIOD.
