CCP is not banning BOTs?

Hi all

im writing here because i dont know what else i can do...
i see everyday a botting CNR in my home system... i reported him as bot already about 2 weeks ago and he is still flying missions.

some days ago i stole his mission loot 2 times and every time the bot failed and stuck, means he was sitting there for 3-4 hours (until i have to go to sleep) doing nothing...

if there is no mission loot im using my macha to bump him away from acc gate that he cannot complete the mission.
he never answers me in local when i call his name and say "happy botting again"
also he dont answer my mails
about 3 days ago i wardeced him and he changed corp

i already wrote a petition which got closed instanly with a copy paste answer.

why is CCP doing nothing about this? they only want the $ ? i really dont get it

think i have to gank him with some tornados

As a matter of policy, they probably want to catch them via the eve client - ie it automatically noticing the bot program running on your PC. Doing it manually will take a hell of a lot of time, and the number of people authorised to issue bots is likely rather limited.

Lot of bots in fw though.

Yep, and CCP doesn't do **** about them. Only thing you can do is gank them so regularly that they stop trying in your area.

I'm sure they're doing their best, but it's up to us as players to pick up where they fall short.

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com

Is harassing a bot really harassment? I mean, there is not really a person behind that bot as it's playing automated, so the harassment would be directed at a computer program that doesn't have the sentience required to experience mental anguish of harassment, thus the whole concept falls apart from a lack of subject. Can a GM please clarify?

Why would they care about bots that generate zero isk/h?

Possible alternative: Said player just doesnt want to interact with the OP for obvious reasons. Also, tinfoil.

Unfortunatly no. But i also report all other players in my home system daily for botting when they dont chat with me in local.
And im definatly wearing tinfoil atm.

They don't ban people based on single reports, nor multiple reports about the same person FROM the same person. They also don't send out notifications for each account they ban.

Send the ticket and move on with your life.

Did you miss the part where he claims the bot was stuck in space for 3 hours?

OP, they won't ban someone who they even suspect of botting. They will only ban when they have physical evidence to support their claim beyond reasonable doubt.

The two easiest ways for them to catch botters:
- Commands/second are too fast or too consistent for what a human can achieve
- Timing between various commands is always perfect, something a human cannot achieve.
