Is this game stagnating, or for lack of a better word, dying?

No, not at all, But as some already said here: Lots of people are now using other forums and websites because you can not do stuff like using profanity, sexual explicit pictures, racist slur and other bad things on these forums and in game. This is also why ingame corp and alliance channels are hardly used anymore, and everything is on jabber or similar services nowadays.

You know, the usual stuff which happen when your right to express yourself is curbed because of stupid laws and moral whiteknights.

Think like this.

Especially in GD you find either rage threads because something is broken, or threads with no other purpose then to troll.
Thus, when GD is quiet you can take it as a sign that things are actually going pretty well and the game is far from dying.

That being said i have noticed a similar trend in NCQA, but i suspect that is because so much of the basic information is covered via stickies and guides so there simply is not that much of a need to create a new thread for questions, which in my opinion is very good Smile

However, OOPE seems to have gotten more active, but it might just be that it "seems" more active with other sections being so quiet.

And, of course, im sure some of the reason is because the ISD's have been very busy keeping the forums clean lately, and im sure that more then one of the regular "troll posters" have gotten a warning to much Lol

This is not SWTOR. Less posting here does not mean it's dying, but that the game has improved and people got less arguments to complain about.
