Noob Wormhole Question....

I did not find this with google or reading up on it, or watching tuts. So... pls don't be a hater and give me some comments.

1. The system IN the wormhole does not collapse when the wormhole collapses right? Just the old "door" vanishes, and a new one going somewhere else (new wormhole) opens right? Dumb question.... but I am having he claustrophobic fear to become a very flat part of an anomaly one day....

2. Do Relic and Data sites on Wormholes spawn sleeper npc's or can I hack in peace.

3. Is there something else than NPC battlegrounds or wormholes in highsec above .5???? I visited a boat load of systems and all I found are those npc hiding grounds and BOAT LOADS OF @%^@#@%$@ Wormholes lol.... All kinds of friggin wormholes... for days... ahhhhhhhhh.... Not funny static ones.... no... all wobbly creepy holes going to 3 and worse...
Then I flew into a lowsec system and tadaaaaa was warp waaarrrhhhhgarrrbled.... purple bubblewrap... how nice! But I was fast enough to zip through. Then... happy covert scanning.... MORE @&^$@#%^$# Wormholes..... lolz...

4. WHEN a relic site is there. I found one today.... but could not get past 89.7% (howl !!!). Later it was not to be found any more.
Do those sites vanish when hacked? Do they spawn again the next day like asteroid fields?

I went into a wormhole after that was all I really found... very exciting! Looks so different... and on the D Scanner were TONS of things and I got all excited with my little core probes and then... a friggin CLOUD of angry red dots were flying towards me.... Turn around.... wheeeeee.... back on the other side.... pfffffffff Definitely not having the ship or buddies to visit that... Checked the code... well.... 6... HA.

Thanks for a few short hints.

1) Only the wormholes collapse. Not the actual system itself... No flattening involved.

2) Data and Relic sites do indeed spawn sleepers. And they are also harder than their combat counterparts.

3) In all space, you will get DED sites (with the exception of WH space), Relic, Data and wormholes from scanning. Although with the use of Combat Probes, you can also get player POS's and player ships etc.
As for "tadaaaaa was warp waaarrrhhhhgarrrbled.... purple bubblewrap" yes...all the time Shocked???

4) Relic sites can be a pain in the ass to scan sometimes and my scanning skills are all at V. As for despawning, aye they sometimes do, I've had one randomly despawn while I was in it. Dunno more info on this though. They wont respawn in that system, they respawn in another wormhole of the same class.

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

1. When your STATIC wormhole closes it vanishes on both ends and has to be scanned down again.

2. Yes, data and relic sites are roughly as difficult as combat sites one class higher (so a C2 Relic is as hard as a C3 combat anomaly and so on.

3. There's ~2500 Wspace systems, that's a lot of potential wormholes (Our current static has about 4 Kspace exits alone). There are DED and unrated sites all over Highsec, move away from Trade hubs and you'll find more

4. Work on your Scanning skills and get a Bonused Hull (Note that sleepers in any class wormhole with tear through any covops frigate, you can't run sites in them) Sites vanish a few hours after someone warps to them, so either someone went and ran it or someone had warped to it, despawning it.

Thanks for the great info! I actually got my first relic site today. Fully intact.... started hacking... blew one up, got one to spill the beans. Yeahhhhh! Ohhhhh.... a Battery..... And then I looked up and the third can was worked on by someone who sneaked in behind me. I was glad it was not a hunter. Never a dull moment in Eve. I'll stick to the low end of activities right now... need more skills! Always fun to see that my small friggs are starting to really rock with more skills and correct rigs.
Again, thx for the info.

Sites last anywhere from 3-7 days from the time they are activated (warped to) unless they are completed then they will despawn minutes after the last non-cloaked ship leaves grid.

Make sure to get a cargo scanner on your hacking ship. and scan the unhacked cans before you go and hack them, it'll show you whats inside, if anything worthy.

As a general rule try to go:

Material/Parts cans in relic sites
Data/Parts cans in data sites
