One day you log onto EVE and Jita is now a 0.4 sec zone, and they did it in the middle of the day on a Saturday. Would be the funniest **** ever, or they should do it on Tuesday April 1st.

As a doomsday prepper who stockpiled a years worth of ships, from my deep space bunker I can laugh at all the unprepared sheeple from who put their faith in CONCORD always being around to protect them.

This has been done for a single day on a larger scale. Concord had a day off, making all of eve lawless for a day.

Minmatar invaded Amarr, Jamyl shows up and blasts the Elder fleet into pieces with a single shot.

Caldari invaded Gallente, taking Caldari Prime.

Meanwhile, Jita Market crashed to a standstill for a single day, in fact market activity halted for a single day as pirates shoot anything that moves and doesn't fight back. This event , 24H without Concord was a powerful enough sign that Concord was needed to sustain a viable EvE Online.

I love these "what if" threads. It's a grab bag of entertainment. This one wasn't completely garbage, which was a surprise. The title is even spelled right.

Wait, was this a roleplay thing or was CONCORD actually disabled as a game mechanic for an entire day? I must have missed that, got any more info about how that went down or was announced?

Well it was a little twist. Due to the massive patch and the very long downtime required to syncrhonize everything (was the expansion that brought FW) CCp thought it would be fun to make people login to the test server for a day instead of the normal server (No special/separate build required, just had to login like usual, but then game took you to Sisis instead of TQ main servers (that were still under maintenance) However on the testerver all security of the systems was set to 0.0, even Jita and the like!
Much chaos was to be had (and alot of whining of people who STILL missed it thinking they had logged on TQ)

I'd make many contracts to black frog to jump all of my stuff 1j out of jita, then i'd make lots of red frog contracts to jump my stuff to amarr, or which ever new hub replaces jita.
