This just means he's been mining it since the beginning, no? The source for the system is open. He can't programmatically skim from it or anything.

I'm not a bitcoin expert or anything, but I imagine he got a bunch of the quicker ones early on, you know *cough* to um *cough* help seed them.

No. You are not an expert, you are not even equipped with the knowledge to guess, assume or even speculate about bitcoin so do yourself a favor and don't.

While it is true that it was much easier to hash BTCs a few years ago, it is just moronic to think that the man created this as ticket to get rich when it is only relatively recent that you have begun to see something that this close to a digital gold rush post-dot-com crash.

.... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH hahahahahahahahahhahahhahahah ahaha heh...

You really do not think someone jumped or made bitcoins to be rich... really? if that is true then no one would horde that much money worth. And I have a bridge in SF i'll sell you... cheap

I can only speak for myself; I jumped onto the bitcoin train late 2010, not so much to get rich as BTCs back then was barely worth anything. To me, bitcoin represented this interesting idea of a digital currency that wasn't regulated by any nation or institution and myself being a strong proponent of open source and digital rights, I thought "why not?"

As for getting rich, well, I didn't have the space or the money to go all in. But when I sold what I had, I had enough to pay off my student loans, debts to family and friends and manage to save a little. Since then, I have moved over to litecoin.

Good for you man. I never thought they'd hit these levels back when they were cheap... but it's good to hear stories of people benefiting.

It really does just seem like an experiment to see if you can make a currency out of nothing and get people to buy into it without any backing by a government or really anyone.

Maybe I should create some sort of Erotic coin or something.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

There's already a Sexcoin, but you can try to beat it. :)
