the golden ammo wasn't well received, the microtransactions are fine, and will be back shortly with the new paint jobs.

hopefully we can eventually get a working store and a QA pipeline set up to have a player studio of sorts, like the one DOTA and PS2 have.

player designed ships are awesome, and having "civilian" ships with unique models would be worth the PLEX. if only to ship spin or RP being a space trucker.

also, targets.

There was never any ccp statement about introducing 'golden ammo' what people were mad about was the fact that a monocle cost $70.

no.

the store was merely polemic, the **** hit the fan over a month afterwards when constant DTs, bugs, performance issues and ill temper was added to the "leak" of the internal magazine that presented the idea of introducing AUR for items and services that would break the sandbox, such as standings, ammo, ships, etc.

the myth that it was the microtransactions needs to die.
The monocle based trolling was kind of amusing.

There are no in-game generated PLEX. They're all created from out-of-game money.
The plex dropped during the dev roams that were done a while back, where did those originate from. Banned accounts?

If you want to talk about pay-to-win macrotransactions, Blizzard is introducing a feature next expansion where you can pay $60 to jump a character straight up to level 90. ;) Meanwhile, people whine about $2 to paint their ship and not affect game balance at all.

This was needed for a long time. WoW REALLY begins at the level cap, and making you grind for a month just to get out of the prologue was ********.

No, what was needed for a long time was for Blizzard to pay attention to the rest of the game that wasn't raiding. They've killed it well and good now.

The Players of EVE who want WIS most would be funding it (and im sure there would be enough to achieve the goal) and no one could complain that their monthly sub finances something they think no one wants.

I for one would back a project like that.

So buy stuff from the Noble Exchange. Show CCP that you care!

Or CCP could show they care by not funneling EvE funds to other projects. WIS could have been done and should have been done a looooong time ago. With so many present day MMOs having characters running around in castles and dungeons and interacting with each other, it is not beyond reach.

What keeps EvE from attaining this is beyond me.

Meaning that your isk generating efforts can be traded for plex. You knew that but you still typed.

So basically, you're paying $60 to play a game you've already paid $60 for, on top of subscription fees.

When we die, our bodies become the grass. The antelope eat the grass. And so we are all connnected in the great Circle of Life. EVE too must someday become grass so that the Circle remains unbroken, and Aurum was CCP's biggest attempt to help it through that transition.

When considering how many people fundamentally misunderstand how PLEX work, it's not a safe assumption to make. So no. http://xkcd.com/1339/

And the ISK you generate in-game still does not ever allow for NeX-stuff to be generated. Your “admittedly also” parenthesis is 100% incorrect no matter what.

People were not bothered about stuff like Golden Ammo it was just the fact that the common plebs were able to buy unlike game breaking features such as T2BPO which were handed out to CCP's pet corps and alliances. Getting game breaking stuff is ok as long as its limited to pet players.

Call it what you want but that's just plain cheating.

Gold ammo doesn't make someone invincible. You could still have popped someone and "profit" if it did exist. People are forgetting eve here, faction mods don't make people invincible, it just makes them targets.

While gold ammo did **** me off in world of tanks, well now you can't kill and steal that can you. It just nullified any armored vehicle I wanted to drive. Even the most armored in the game, which existed in real life. http://www.warhistoryonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/T28_xx.jpg

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

I was prepared to make an AUR purchase to treat myself on my birthday, for a Men's 'Esquire' Coat (matte green), only to find that they are not available there. Nor anywhere on Market either :(
