D-Scan Presets

So, since D-Scan is being updated in 1.3 I would like to ask for 3 or 4 preset buttons that could be configured by the players. Just like a car stereo. So I could set P1 to 5 degrees max range, P2 360 degrees max range, P3 360 degrees 200,000 km, etc. Would save me a lot of adjusting on the D-Scan and reduce my frustration level.

My first thought was to keep setting them easy. Possibly set the d-scan to what you want the preset and then Shift+Click it to set it. Maybe a right click to rename.

Put the buttons on the right side of the sliders where the scan button is. Keep them about the same size and limit the number of characters on the label to 4 or 5 to keep the button size the same as the scan button.

How would you go about setting and using these preset buttons? (Considering how the probes presets are unwieldy.)

Of course, modifier keys! I knew my keyboard had these for a reason! Big smile Click scan, shift+click save pretty much nails it.

With four-ish buttons I don't know if labeling is even a requirement. Hmmm. Mileage may vary. (Could even picture a tiled square of button height working; essentially 4 buttons on very little space.)

I like it, useful.

Naturally, NOTHING ought to delay pushing DScan as on Sisi right now to TQ. I miss it already when playing the actual game. Smile

I was also thinking that they could use the radial buttons to pick the presets and keep a single scan if wanted, but I personally don't like the radial buttons that much. So you could have one scan button, and do a radial to select a preset and they push the button for scan.
