Linking Corp names in eve gate.

Hello all,

So I was wondering, in the game you can send an evemail, linking a name of a corp, person, or item and even in eve gate it shows up as a link in which you can click to see the info, but is there a way to do it the opposite way. By that I mean link a set corp info, name or so on so that when you look at it in game, it shows up in game as a working info link.

Well Im looking at the fact of responding to evemails and such while at work without access to EVE...if I need to link say war targets to my corp mates, I'd need to know how to from EVEgate versus if I were in a game.

Reminds me would it be neat if we can link like anything from the eve db? have it show as a popup with the information as though you looked at it from eve?

Well yes but that doesnt show up in game as an in game info window, brings up the web browser and eve gate corp info, at least from my tests...

well there must be a way, people with accounts linked through 3rd party sites like dot lan or some KBs can click on a link in browser and get game box info to pop in the client.

so somebody must know, perhaps find a site that does that with a system or item and check out the source or sniff the output

This. I have not had an opportunity to play with IGB development, but I would start probably looking here for ways to interact with the client.
