Constantly getting Socket closed - often unable to log into EVE before it happens

for example I log-in - choose my character - screen goes black - mail tab pops up..... then that's it - followed by a Socket Closed shortly after

Other people have been having this issue lately - finally now me too...

What's going on? Fixes?

This is a wild stab in the dark but who is your provider?

Telstra

I'm from Australia, They are pretty legit & reliable.

The odd thing is that I was/am getting socket closed on this account - while 2 other accounts I had logged in were perfectly fine (I had since cleared the cache & restarted the eve clinet just incase)

I have read a few claims of people here on the boards where they logged into the EVE|Gate mail interface, deleted the mails in their inbox and then everything was fine.

I have no proof nor experience that this works. It is just what I have read.

I live in Norway and keep dropping. Been like this for about a week. Not all clients on the same time. Normaly use 3 clients and 1 or 2 drops with socket closed.

Same for me. It had been better the past couple days but now I can't log in again today. Awesome. Can't even post on be forums from my pc. Had to go mobile. I have charter and I'm in Minnesota. It really doesn't seem like its a geographical issue or provider issue. People have been having these problems all over the place.

Its not his ISP, its another DDOS.

I have my router sat infront of my face to see the lights + opened up config and I have had a steady connection for 26 days no reboots listed on router history

I just had socket closed 3 times... Needless to say I left the fleet I was in and have come onto the forums to complain.

Dont just think outside the box, Live outside of it...

I am having the same issue Ran repair tool 2 times, reset my routers tried a VPN etc... It's also taken nearly 3 hours to log into the forums. My launcher at times will allow me to log in and i get as far as seeing the character selection screen and the mail notification to only see the two pop-ups stating connection lost that the socket was closed. Other times I click the logon button on the launcher and it just sits there. With logging into the website I wait while an attempt is made to connect to the secure server to 99 times out of 100 get this:

This is happening in Chrome, I.E. & Firefox

I've tried connecting via the launcher and the executable in the bin folder located in the installation directory. I know there's others with the issue as I've been able to read the forums now for hours and this is the first I've been able to respond. And My service provider is different.

Grande Communications located in North Central Texas, USA.

Side note: I just established my first stable connection via the exefile.exe located in the bin folder of the main ccp directory. My character model isn't the same in appearance as it was prior to logging out last night. Movement controls are not working correctly for captains quarters, and i wasn't in captains quarters for that matter when i logged out. I'll post here if any other issues present themselves
