Anyone who got a calculated guess on the price range for the new T3 BC's?
And bonus info - what skills are needed to fly it? Havent got the time for the test server :-)

Battlecruiser 3
Racial Cruiser 4 (I think. whatever the tier 2 BC needs)

And in case you're labouring under a misconception, these are tier 3 battle cruisers, not Tech 3. Hurricane is to Tornado, like Tempest is to Maelstrom. Nothing like the Loki or Tengu

Ok, that makes sense - so just e new tier! Thanks for pointing that out! Big smile
So the prices should be somewhat like the prices for the tier 1 BS's maby?

Something like this would be my guess too. They'll be similar in cost to tier1 BSes from what I've heard.

In raw materials they cost *exactly* 1.5 times what the Tier 2 Battlecruisers cost.

As the other posters say, expect inflated prices to start with because:

1) Rarity
2) The BPOs cost 600 million, and anyone buying one will want to recoup the cost
3) The BPOs will not have had any research on them to start with, so using them will not be very efficient

So ultimately you can expect them to cost about 40 million given current mineral prices, but it will take a while to get there.

Based on Insurance payout on Sisi...which I'm not positive is a great indicator of insurance on Tranq., I'm thinking average range once things settle will be in the 45-55M range.

Someone at some point did up a cost-per minerals figure...

And for some reason, there was one ship almost 10m above the others....funny how well these ships are 'balanced' aint it...

Oh, and to whomever said it would be "very inefficient" to use non tweeked BPO's...is it just me or is the max you can get is only about 10% reduction in mineral amounts needed....

And i'm expecting them to be similar to noctis prices last year....look to pay no less than 70m for first couple weeks

It's the Talos that requires/d more minerals than the other three, though, I do not know if CCP has changed it.

10% is10%. Me tweaking works the high end mins and works ti ways down to kill off trit and pyerite waste. Initial me fixing clears out the high ends waste amounts like megacyte, zydrine, etc a decent amount. These are the major price determinants. that final percentage left will be th trit and pyerite waste. You will never clear these off short of months and months of research (that is a waste of time). Doesn't matter, lots of ways to get trit cheap, large suppliers of high end mins generally don't give the crap away as easy as trit sellers do.

Month 1, maybe month 2 release of these ships will have higher high end waste amounts to cover. Why they will have a boosted price. 3 months and beyond the high end waste should be well reduced on bp's out there and cheaper naga's and such the result.

Month 1 and month 2 will also be heavily speculated. New toy, many will pay a high price for it.

Considering that a full rack of neutrons + MWD + 1600 plate takes two fitting mods....yup.

If memory serves me correct they were all in the 40-45m range for all the raw minerals. For the first month I wouldn't expect to see them any cheaper than the t1 BS due to the demand and also since anything put on market real soon after the launch was probably made using an unresearched BPO. Once things settle down they'll probably come in around 45-50m.

Tier 1 BS's cost 50M on market, tier 2 BC's cost 30M so my guess would be about 40M. Obviously that's after the market settles down. The first few weeks will see them trading much higher than that but that's true for any new ship.

Jita Average is between 180mil to 300mil... Amarr is even higher.

People bought all of the ones on the market and have already relisted them in sell orders obviously. ;)

for that price you could buy the bpo (unless an uber rich guy trying to corner naga' bpo's they were going for 609 mil and change last night), make a few, and resell the bpo later. I'd drop it 1mil under lowest if needed to move it faster. Would still come out ahead of the deal this way.

Thought about the bpo buy last night after I got on before bed (gratz to ccp for a patch release that wasn't terribad, usuaully my tz I don't hit the game till next day but this was on schedule for a nice change) but no need for these atm.

Sad part is there are likely actually people paying that price thinking its the norm. ;)

35/40M is the border line, after this you're better with the first BS tiers for the same dps (or better since lows = dps) and better tank.

On a related note, I learned something new today. The seeded BPO price fluctuates with demand and is not static. I always just assumed it was static. So my prediction of 450-500M isk for the BPO on them will only be accurate once the market settles, atm the tornado BPO costs 650M at any of the seeded stations near rens.
