I doubt you understand the meaning of a 'pubbie', because you're using it in a very wrong way.

Maybe but in that context it was correct. (Members of a game community that aren't in your particular private group) Are Goons part of Marmite now?

To cause 12 trillion in damage, Gevlon Goblin only needs 1 trillion from you. While many might scoff and call this an attempt at a massive scam, well, some might not.

Thoughts?

It seems to work exactly on same principle as New Order shares. Invest isk, tears/killmails = dividends. Most people seem to be happy about it.

Although I don't really agree with his characterizations of burn jita and hulkaggeddon as being "infamous pogroms against highsec PvE players." And its been a long time since I've heard a goon talk about trying to destroy the game.

Also, I'm in PBLRD and I think the name is hilarious. I find the idea that Gevlon Goblin is upset on my behalf to be quite amusing.

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

So according to your logic, everyone in EVE are pubbies. Besides, you're using it as an insult.

And you indeed are entitled to your opinion. But hatred of goons aside, do you actually believe that kill stats in high sec will cause a null group to collapse? All null groups know to use NPC alts for highsec logistics. A bunch of randoms getting killed because they choose to fly a blinged out battleship out of Jita and hope for the best isn't going to do anything.

What you guys are doing is not new, and you should know that, since you are one of the groups that have wardecced goons for a long time. So if it could cause a null group to collapse, it would have already happened. Your old leaders knew though that the goal was a buffed KB, not the destruction of the target group, as that would be an unrealistic goal. Now under Gevlon, with his irrational hatred clouding his judgement, you suddenly think you are having some profound impact?

One day when you guys want to stop chestbeating and put forward a realistic war plan, maybe you'll get taken seriously.

All I have to say further is that everything starts small and one day who knows, but it has got your guys attention. Oh! and by the way I have no hate for Goons or any other entity for that matter. It's all a game don't you know.

I kinda wish you really could have an impact, it would be fun. Seems it's pretty much a moot point now though, since BNI have stepped up to the plate and are building a coalition.

A game indeed. You might want to tell that to your leader. Apparently "fun" is not a valid motivator don't you know? :p

Uh, Lucas... I have checked....

I dont see "fun" listed in any of goblins spreadsheet warfare documents. I guess the opportunity cost of fun is too high for even a quadrillionaire like the goblin.

Do they? As in always? Or do they sometimes do that? It's a very important decision. I use a whole array of words in both friendly and unfriendly manners. I'll quite often call my friends things where context and tone are the only things that convey the friendlier meaning. In the same way, I, to the goons, am a pubbie, and yet that's not cast upon me as an insult and I don;t get shunned every time I'm in fleet.

That said, considering the context of Sol's use, the target of the word and his surrounding statements it's not an enormous leap to conclude he was using it as an insult, though I'm sure he'll go to great lengths to deny that.

There are some people in EVE that create content for everyone else through moving and shaking the universe.

There are others that create content by being so stupid you cannot help but laugh at them.

I will leave it up to the reader to decide which of these categories they put Mr Goblin into, but I certainly thank him for the content he creates. Now I'm off to clean the soft drink off my keyboard.

Isn't waffe getting double reimbursement in order to motivate waffe participation since it's been so low?

A lot of corps in GSF have been doing this for awhile, we just sort of forgot about the trillions of ratting tax that we make each day until Gevlon wrote a few blog posts about it.

My personal prediction is that he raises more funds begging for donations than he ever made trading, and the greed will set in and he will walk off with a few hundred billion or so.

But I could be wrong. What does everyone think about his donation drive?

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

If I had 10 trillion and wanted to hurt Goons, I'd buy Pandemic Legion a bunch of titans and other capitals, and offer them a replacement program conditional upon them using them primarily against Goons.

I love how Gevlon is so proud of 222B damage. Mynnna alone could reimburse all of that and still have 2-4 trillion over.

The actual problem is that the damage was being dealt already, and goblin has spent a personal fortune for the naming rights rather than generating fresh damage with it. Marmite on the otherhand are making out like the bandits they are, getting paid for what they've been doing for the last 3 months anyway. They've played this one very well.

The largest blob in the figures is usually damage against PBLRD, not against goons, and during the period, 10 extra corps joined PBLRD, and thus its likely that CFC rent extracted raised by at least 40B isk, and that 40B just ticked over. PBLRD lose about 250b a month anyway, and the total economy of the renter alliance is several trillion.
