Hi Alara, sorry you're sad about this. It was a difficult decision, but I'm really glad that what I did here resonated so strongly with you and others in the EVE player community. THAT is what made this such a good experience for me.

I don't want to totally disappear. I'm going to keep playing EVE (but not sure if I'll reveal a character name or not).I may start a blog. I will still be around on Twitter (@jamesegan). I guess my point is that I'd like to stay involved with all of this from the player side.

Thanks Navigator, for everything. You pretty much taught me everything I needed to know to get started here and I still appreciate that. I'll let you know where I end up a month or two down the road. Also, it's entirely possible I'll come to the next Fanfest. Smile /manhug

Editing to add: And thank you for your kind words here, I really appreciate this. You guys at DUST514.org are really dedicated to what CCP is doing with this title. It's been fantastic to see this enthusiasm and I'm sure you'll be interacting with the new DUST CM shortly.

EVE may be getting new shadows in the Crucible expansion but I wish we could hang on to this old shadow...

Well, here we are.

I'd like to thank you all for the send off and the kind words. The connection I've had with so many of you as part of the Community team at CCP has been incredible. I don't know if I'll ever have an experience quite like this one again in my life and I owe that to you. It's been a great run.
