How do I make a limited API?

I'm at the Create API page, I clicked on [Create API Key] but i have no idea which boxes to check. I need a 'limited API'. There's no mention of limited API anywhere on the page, or in EVElopedia either for that matter. I assume limited mean I should only check some of the boxes. Which ones?

The whole limited API refers to the old API system, there you only had 2 options, limited and full. Nowadays with the costum API you can set your API in such a way that it grants acces to what ever you want.

So if a corporation asked you to submit your limited API, which boxes would you check? Trying to get into Eve University, and they asked specifically for a 'limited API'.

Basically, the old limited API gave access to skills and character info only, so if you check those boxes only you should be good.
They don't need wallet info etc.
Maybe include account status so they know if your paid or trial.Question

This is pretty much the equivalent in the new-style:

https://support.eveonline.com/api/key/createpredefined/59645960

Give it a name to help you remember what it does and whom you gave it to, check "No Expiry" (you can always delete the key).

Optional:
* Change "Characters" from "All" to only one specific character on the account instead of all of them.
* Check KillLog to share your kill-mails.

I recommend making yourself unlimited key with all characters for your own usage with EVEmon and such applications, and never sharing it or using it on websites. You can make multiple keys for different purposes, so use them!

Cornelius, Eve University has a specific limited API. There is a link to clik on in the Uni Tools pages that takes you right there and imposes the info they are looking for on the API.

The first thing I would check is that you should make sure that you're on the right page. After that, make sure you're entering the login information correctly, especially if you have multiple accounts with different passwords (yes, I know both of these are 'duh' things, but sometimes people forget).

After those two, I would try logging in with a different browser, especially if you're using a random one that isn't necessarily supported supported (like lynx or Opera or something). It could also be that you have something like NoScript or an AV program blocking the login page from redirecting you to the next page. You might try logging in through the in-game browser, if anything is going to work, that should.

(Stupid BBcode not working I can't link straight to the API login, just login there and then click the link on the left for the API configuration)
