Hi

Choose drones in drone bay is like play lottery!
why not show the status of integrety of the drones inside the drone bay, you can see whem if we drop them in space, but wen we have to change the drone becose is damage we dont know what is the drone we call in to the drone bay and what is the drone we whant to send to space. Why not change that?

It's called the 'Move to group' option, allows you to group your drones and they stay in that group.

Unfortunately, yes you can't see health of drones inside bay (yet!?). Workaround is to make different groups (like "main" and "spare" for instance) and go from there - some drone in main group got shot at and recalled, launch one from spare group.

yeah, i occasionally run witha 6th sentry drone so I can always have a new one to put out if one gets pulled b/c of aggro. Guessing at the hp is dumb.

Create a 'repair' group you can drop them into if they take armour damage before being recalled, then at least you know to repair them in orbit before sending them back in

That would be really helpful. There could also just be an option to display the bay the same way the active drones are displayed.

Hi

I use groups, the problem is in pve if you are full drone boat you need them all for different situations, my case is the rattlesnake.
if you put drone aside is the same of turn of guns or launchers, so you need recall the shield damage drone and put full shield restore drone to kip shoot down targets efficiently. whay shield? becose inside the drone bay he recharge the shield im self. so helps if you can see if he have full retore shield on time is need. and why not repair the drone in space? the drome is too smole to lock, you need about 10 secs to lock a drone in battleship like rattlesnake, in that time can be too late to repair him and you can shoot thim down accidentally by frendly fire.

+1 for the OP.

I agree. Drone status should be displayed in bay just like in space. Drone Status should also be viewed whenever the Drone Bay is opened, no matter where the ship is located.

That would be a lot more helpful and easier, especially for players who don't log in much. Creating a bunch of different groups and then having to move drones between various groups doesn't seem to be very 'User Friendly'.

In the past I've launched drones a few times and noticed some of them were damaged. Would be nice if their status had been shown before I undocked.

I second this. It would be nice to see the health of drones in the bay. Simply make the same bar that's visible for drones on space visible for drones in the bay. I'm sure it's not simple on the programming side but it would be awesome!

If you're in a drone boat, you have spare highs. Almost by definition. Just use a small armor repper now and then to keep them up, and you're fine.

I have the utility remote rep installed most times. I tend to rotate the damaged drones to a repair group to launch fresh ones early in the mission to remove dps more efficiently then once the initial hit is decreased recall the drones, launch those requiring repair (with shields now recovered) and repair them before sending them back in. Once repaired simply assign them back to the appropriate group

I agree that drone boats are capable of fitting remote reppers. This doesn't take away that it would be a nice feature to see drone status in the bay.

and CCP has stated the problem comes with carriers with hundreds of drones, and the extra server load that crates.

For the purpose of what is being talked about here, for low bay drone ships, even the ability to mouse over a drone and get the status info would be a nice stopgap measure.

I apparently have no idea what I'm doing.
