Hi, I know this has been asked a lot of times but is there a app/software I can use for skilltraining while im going away and wont have connection for about 25 days or so.

or should I just set a very time consuming skill for that duration?

reason im asking is because it would be kinda handy with this kinda feature.

thanks for the replies.

If you ever wanted to get into Caps, now would be a great time!

I dont usually deal with captial ships and that kind, except Orcas, if you can call that a capital ship.
but I have a feeling it will take a little longer then 25 days to fly a capital ship efficiently? P

Just ran a cursory search. Seems though there are 3rd party apps that allow you to monitor some elements of your characters noneof them allow interaction (and Id be very wary of giving login data to a 3rd party).

If you don't have any connection at all what good would an app do that needs API access over the net?

Touché.

Answer: No, there is no program that can do anything for you in-game. Short of handing your account details to someone else (Not only against the EULA but also a good way to come back to a cleaned out account) you'll just have to set a long skill to train.

I thought account sharing was against the EULA?

And so would be using a bot to automate skill training.

Plug in a really long skill like Caldari Titan V as said before.

Things are only impossible until they are not.

I trained up Logistics V and Recon V the last time I had an extended absence.

It's a good excuse to train something to five that you otherwise wouldn't.

Sometimes people get a little too obsessed with SP.

If you are away for a month, and there is nothing you really want to train, just unsub for the month.

I know some people find the concept of their skill queue stopping for even 10 seconds while they jump clones terrifying, but seriously if you are not online to play and all you are doing is training some level V skill you will never use just unsub.

Then you can totally forget EVE altogether while you are away and resub when you get back.

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

They use API, which specifically does not allow them to access your character, just its information. Only the EVE client can modify ingame data (i.e. market orders, skill queue, wallet transactions).

I need to LD Eve to my wife's Laptop so I can log in when we go to town while on Vacation in order to make sure to change skills. No big deal. We'll be there all summer, we'll be in town more than 2-3 times Big smile

Set the long skill. Even if you don't think you'd fly a cap, find something you DO have as a goal. How about that Roque or whatever it's called? Or Jump Freighter. In the long run it's better than cheating. You maintain your integrity by doing things the right way. Like I said already, I've got to be out in the sticks all summer. No internet or anything, but with Even on my wife's laptop, I can hop on long enough to change skills while in town.

Yeah, I really want to fly a freigther, so I'll probably train Advanced Spaceship Command to V, I'm going to another continent and wont have a laptop with me :)

thanks for replies everyone.

I know that. Re-read my post.

You are implying things from it that I never said.

The giving login data comment was related to the potential of a 3rd party app which would ALLOW interaction with the character (since obviously API would not be sufficient for this).

Login data and API are obviously two separate things, and that is clear from my post.

So. Step. The. F**k. Down.
