Sure mr. special, keep buying those plex, you're such a big man.

Wow, that's the best you can come back with? Doesn't even make sense given the discussion at hand. Jealousy is an ugly thing...

Grow up you clearly don't belong here, you're to stupid to even read correctly. Show me where I said I bought a PLEX?

Not to mention the thousands of other people who do the same as I do. It's not my fault you got no money to do the same...and have to grind for paltry sums...

Good video. Any ISK making endeavor that allows you to make enough ISK to plex your account is worth seeing.

I pay $14 dollars for a plex. I get 600 million ISK in Jita. I make 14 dollars in real life in less then an hour.

I win.

I just solo Jita. No fancy ships needed. Trading will help free you of the isk/hr thinking. Unless you wish to stay in the working class, of course.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

This only works because not everyone is doing it. If we switched the numbers of people playing EVE properly and those buying plex for a free leg up you'd likely have to work all day for a 600 million isk.

The idiot is probably the person spending 100s of dollars worth of their time just so they can make enough to keep playing the game when they could actually be doing fun things instead.

First of all, no one is spending "100s of dollars worth of their time" just to keep playing, most people just pay the 15 bucks a month, and those that don't can make 600mill easy.

Second, the part you quoted refers to people buying PLEX to sell for ISK which removes a big part of the game.
That is what the discussion was about and not how long it takes for you to earn a PLEX.

Congratulations for missing the point entirely.
You should be thankful to those people who buy PLEX to sell on the market. If they didn't PLEX would be considerably more expensive than a mere 600 mill.

Why would I be thankful of people who buy PLEX? I couldn't care less what the price of a PLEX is.

Point still stands, if one buys PLEX to sell for ISK that person is removing a big part of the game.
Same with any game in which you can buy currency.

There's nothing to discuss really, it's just that all who do buy PLEX took offense in my opinion, which is their problem, not mine.

You haven't actually elaborated on how.

Cassia Aetius wrote:

Well you can't buy ISK. You can buy something you can sell for ISK. That's something different entirely. Your return on this purchase is entirely dependent on how much people value this item.

Maybe ... but we all know CCP occasionally buy up PLEX when prices drop to fast and then dump the same PLEX along with any they picked up from banned accounts back on the market when PLEX start to rise to quickly.

Admittedly they are not creating PLEX out of thin air and are trying to remove volatility rather than price fix, but still the PLEX market is not a "free" market in the neo lib sense.

That's an interesting perspective.
Fortunately not everyone is completely antisocial, hiding away in NPC corps.
Just think about how awful this game would be if they did.

Consider if everyone assumed that your first ever EVE character who happens to be in an a NPC Corp is considered to be "hiding" and "antisocial" there while they learn the ropes and keep an eye out for a Corp they might like to join.

Consider that it would not be considered antisocial to not be grateful to completely random and unassociated people who happen to be playing the game as they want (plex or not), with absolutely no bearing on you, and whom are making absolutely no sacrifice or action that you in any way shape or form need or should be grateful of, because they are doing it in their own best interest and of their own recognizance.

Consider stopping posting.

I dont owe you, or anyone else in this game, anything.
Nor you to me, or anyone else to me.

However, if you really are so grateful to people who have bought PLEX, then by all means, feel free to express that gratefulness to me by making me an ISK donation.

Oh? Your gratefulness doesn't extend to action? Just talk? Not really worth much then, is it.

The real idiots are the ones who think they're the **** because they can afford to sub using PLEX but belittle the people who buy PLEX with RL cash in order to enjoy the game. They don't seem to realise that without those people, PLEX would be far more expensive than they could ever afford.

CCP's market manipulations are solely to prevent detrimental effects to the "PLEX flow" caused by spikes in supply or demand. The CCP-injected PLEX does not and will not exist as a way to provide PLEX to all the "play-for-free" people if the "PLEX buyers" ever stop buying PLEX for RL cash.

It is pretty simple really.

- Casual/weekend players are better off paying subs and plexing the occasional big purchase like the carrier the FC says he wants you in.

- most year or more old play-every-day people make so much ISK they would be mad not to plex with some of the excess, you end up with more than you can possibly spend in game and start doing crazy cr@p like buying rare ships to station spin

not about who buys plex in/out of game P

I'm decently sure I've seen that face before, but maybe it was just another character who looked a lot like yours.

Your statement was considerably broader than merely that regarding the buying and selling of PLEX.

Salvos Rhoska wrote:

But what you specifically said was that no player owes any other player gratitude.
Which is patently false. I owe many players gratitude for the parts they play in helping to shape my gameplay experience. Some of them are members of Goonswarm. Some of them are in other CFC alliances. Some of them are members of alliances who continue to feed me kills and content.

It does indeed extend to action. Just not the action you were hoping for.
