Whilst these modules are rubbish at best, the stats for the electronic superiority ones are just laughable.

ECM/Target Painter bonuses go from 2% to 2.5% in line with other modules, Still not worth the effort, but fair enough, it's a 25% improvement.

Sensor Damp/Tracking Disruption bonuses go from 1.2% to 1.25%. This is a 4% improvement. Someone's been lazy and just stuck a 5 on the end without reading it properly, surely?!! I refuse to believe that CCP not only feel the information warfare links are so uber as to be continually ignored, but also that they now feel damps and tracking disruptors are so uber as to need virtually no change in the T2 module !!

T1 Mining Foreman Link - Mining Laser Field Enhancement (4,5% base boost) (max range of 23,7km range)
T2 Mining Foreman Link - Mining Laser Field Enhancement (5% base boost) (max range of 24,6km range)

Difference is result is 4% or 900m range.

Just not worth it at all...

And, quite rightly, that change has been derided too. Though going from 4.5% to 5% is an 11% improvement.

However, in this instance you can see that the change has to be lazy manual error, and that is just not good enough.

That's due to RSD applying reducing effect and the fact how related bonuses are applied. It's way too easy to make RSD completely OP.

No, you're wrong. Look at every effect; 2% became 2.5%; 3% became 3.5%, 4% became 4.5% All they did was stick an extra .5 on the end. But then some idiot stuck that on the end of 1.2% and gave us 1.25% which is a nonsense. It has nothing to do with levels of effectiveness and everything to do with manual error.

Alright, may be I'm indeed mistaken.

Just wait till Crucible hits TQ and submit a bugreport Smile

Ok, a Curse with max skills with a T2 Tracking Disruptor gets 62.81% tracking reduction with the script. With a proteus giving 28.125% bonuses, that becomes 73.41%. Now through on the T2 Ganglink and that becomes 76.37%. This a pretty BIG amount. Reducing their tracking to 23.65% instead of reducing it to 26.59%, you lower their tracking by an additional 11% about.

An "investor' tracking disruptor is 64.69% base, 75.6% with T1 Ganglink, and 78.62% T2 Ganglink, which is a 12% further reduction in tracking.

Its not a mistake. They are fine.

So why would you use the t2 over the t1? The point of the t2 is that it is better. Check the relative effectiveness then tell me it is justified and not some idiot error that wasn't picked up please.

Then once you've done that, and given how much tracking disruptors and damps are used in preference to ecm, perform the same check on ecm effectiveness between t1 and t2. Now, please explain to me your justification for the t2 strength over the t1 for ecm.
