Got the same issue on this account; ISP is KPN Fiber though.

I don't think it's an internet issue though, since my other account seems to have none of this socket closed errors

I fixed my problem... it may work for others

launch the game twice so that you have 2 character screen open.
Log into your character and then you will get the socket closed error..exit the game then go to the 2nd character login that you had opened and click your character agian and it should log you in. if it does not, then restart that login and try. This is the only way i have been able to get on

I had the black screen socket closed thing and I found one way around.


Restarting my computer did the trick.


Before that I tried to reinstall EVE with no success.

Had this problem going on two days now, im having to post from my phone because my pc times out when i try and access the eve website. No problems with anything else, seeing posts elsewhere from people getting nothing but socket closed errors and inabilty to access the eve website.

Restarted my computer, now playing eve.

Had socked closed about once an hour yesterday then later that night and today got nothing but socket closed. Tried clearing my catch, ipconfig, other character, ect. Did not believe that a restart would work but i'm online now, and was at least able to update my skills.

I will edit this post if I get kicked from socket.

5x socket closed in a row now, seems I can't even log in anymore on 1 account, while another is sitting happily chatting away in corp. Something fishy is going on

I´m also having problem with Connection lost / Socket closed. Happens every 20min or so.
Problem with this started yesterday. Havn´t had any major connection issues before.
Jepp, I have restarted router, client and cleared the cach and that didn´t work.

Internet service provider is Telia/Sweden.

CCP - Please fix and adress this issue asap. It´s annoying as hell.

Nothing really. Simply that it is a change and before that change I was able to log in without any problems. If it is CCP's intent to reroute through Verisign then the decision to change paths is not in itself a problem, but it is obviously broken in some form since some of us are unable to log in.

Chiming in with the same issue. I haven't been able to log in since Friday night.

I sent a bug report to CCP but got no answer, not too surprising as it's the weekend.

I've just tried to log into the support section and it errors out. I can't load any of the secure pages of the Eve sites (aside from the forums, for some reason).

I really would expect at least confirmation from CCP that they're looking into the issue.

Had this issue all day yesterday, multiple attempts to get logged on. Last night 7 attempts before I got on. Then I tried to log second account 3 attempts to log on, then the first account disconnects. Multiple attempts later I get it on to have the second account crash. Everything started immediately after downtime Sat morning so please don't blame my ISP and fix your **** CCP. Trying to log on now with no success

the same problem here, cant log in more than one character in time, still getting dc ... even lost our fleet today cause of it

cant send emails in game - getting dc immediately

having black screen after logging in and dc again

CCP start using test server before applying patches in game, this server is payed so stop making experiments on us
