high sec - ganking

dear CCP.

as to my understanding High sec should be a safe haven for new players and old players that aren't into PVP so much,
a place where loan pilots or groups of pilots can do there own thing and build up there own projects whatever it may be without the shooting aspect beeing around any corner.

lately with the new secutiry tags patch and the ship ballancing and the fact that everybody is so rich they don't care anymore ganking in high sec has become to easy if you ask me. it's an absolute **** fest. some systems maintain 30/40+ red skull pilots in it 24/7.

is this the high sec it was intended to be? cause even the low sec pirates and null sec pirates come here for easy KM's and "highly professional skilled tear trolling activities".

let me make this clear. i am not the guy that comes to the forum to whine because he lost his ship, i have lost a ship to high sec gankers years ago and i can't care for the ship, what me made writing this post is what i observerd around me. and the high sec ganking is not a good thing for the new players which i like to see in this game.

so please, do something about high sec gankers, for the new people, the people that just wanna do there own thing, and whoever likes to fly wihouth the ever pressence of getting shot in the face all the time like the FPS games aimed for 14 year old brad's already provide to us.

You understand incorrectly. Highsec is a combat zone, just like the rest of the game, with the only difference being that undue aggression comes at a cost.

Pretty much nothing has happened to make ganking easier since the destroyer balance pass. Also, what system is that? It would be fun to come and watch…

New people are already protected and don't particularly get ganked anyway since they have nothing of value. The rest should have realised by now that “the ever-present risk of getting shot in the face” is part of the environment they live in and taken steps to remove those risks.

High sec is relatively safer, but not a guaranteed thing.

They've had 10 years to turn the guns off in highsec, ever wonder why they don't ?

your average ganker doesn't use sec tags, they stay -10

If you've never tried PvP in EvE it's quite possible you've missed out on one of the greatest rushes available in modern gaming.

I stopped there. The security rating of a system just reflects the response time of Concord, it is NOT how safe the system is, there are many that make that mistake.

You can and will get shot at in any system in EVE thanks to gankers that want no-risk kills, that is just what EVE is.

All you are going to get in this thread are trolls, expect the gankers to be in here drooling all over the place any time soon.

Dude,

If it weren't for gankers in high-sec, how the hell would newbies like me know to properly tank my mining ships, and not to afk mine. I had just gotten a retriever, was out playing with it, and got blown out of the sky. Now I know what to look for when going to do my mining business. The threat of death in EVE isn't something that should be diminished, even in high sec. If I didn't have to worry about people breathing down my neck while I grab the juiciest rock, I'd be bored stiff mining.

And if you are transporting tons of expensive components in an anti-tanked ship, you deserve to be killed, I mean you wouldn't transport gold in a glass truck, so why would you transport things like plex, and expensive components in a glass freighter?

Jita undock is terrible for ganking, we go for them in lower sec systems on the trade routes and just stay -10. Its not like people are going to stop us.

you think only afk miners are getting ganked? that's not really the cause. they literly gank everything with glass cannon tornado's for tears.

It doesn't matter if it's terrible or not. People still do it though. The same with carebears doing missions in RLML ravens and insisting it's actually good.

I'm just speaking of personal experience. If you are ganked in high-sec and you have an anti-tanked ship and you aren't paying attention or auto piloting, I really can't sympathize with you when you get exploded before Concord can help you. If you don't make yourself an easy target, the ganker will go for someone easier than you.

I'm a miner, so I speak about mining ships getting ganked. especially by James315's crew. Hence why I pre-align, check local, and my starmaps for kills and pod kills. James315's crew is also fond of killing anti-tanked transports for obvious reasons.
