Ugh really? Locking the windows is really the only reason I pin them as otherwise I get way too many accidental drags across the screen. Any chance that rather than just remove stuff that may require a bit of effort to fix (this, camera pan when mouseover locked targets) you instead fix it? Maybe not right now but sometime Soon™?

Theres a few changes I might like, plenty more I'll wait and see how they pan out, this is probaly the first 'breakage' so far for meSad

That's one hell of a patch list, I like :D

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Well I'm still confused why's there a Omnidirectional Tracking Link _and_ a Drone Tracking Computer on that list. Doesn't makes much sense for me... Nevertheless, just wanted to point that out.

Thankyou that makes me considerably less grumpy about it, wasn't aware of that particular thread as hadn't seen that change mentioned untill reading patch notes nowBig smile

Perhaps a small edit to patch notes to include the point about it being reinstated asap, just for those of us that may not have been aware?

This really looks great CCP! Have tested on Sisi and there is too much to comment on everything. Stunningly beatiful and all that!
Looking forward to the release. Keeping fingers crossed and hope all the release-gods are smiling tomorrow. ...btw, might aswell try to sacrifice some more internet space-ships this evening [belonging to other EVE-players ofc] to please the release gods a bit more, it can never hurt! Pirate

Apologies if this has already been asked/mentioned.......

I know about the window settings been reset etc. but will the current overview settings that players have, STILL be as they are after the update, or are these likely to be reset?

Yeah the Drone Tracking Computer is a new one to me as well, just did a search and there's no T1 version on TQ Ugh

Awesome...except the highlighted part:

"UI windows that are snapped to the Neocom or map panel will now stay put as you dock orundock. Unfortunately the root cause was the ‘Lock windows when pinned’option so that has been removed."

I hate accidentally moving or resizing windows, I expect I'm not the only one.

Edit: And just read it's being rectified, expansion is back to awesome again.

Sexy stuff CCP. Those patch notes are awesome! Keep up the hard work and I can't wait for that full POS overhaul.

In the mean time, Crucible should keep me nicely satisfied Lol

so, are we going to get a trailer for this expansion or has that been forgotten about in the rush to appease the players. Or is the trailer already out and I just haven't seen the dev blog for it or received a link to it in my sub box on youtube.

seriously though, I really enjoy checking out each new trailer. Its so far, as close to a EVE movie as I'm going to get and I want my fix. Sad

Edit: and yes I have both books and eagerly awaiting the next. That is if CCP is planning another one. God i hope they are Big smile

My guess is that it's supposed to be the Drone Navigation Computer, because I think theres a T2 version of that on SiSi, but it wasn't mentioned in the notes.

Before we download another 1.6 GB, is there any chance at all that even the tiniest bit of testing has taken place with the Mac Client please?

To be honest, now that so much effort is being devoted to the Station environment rather than the Space and Ships, I am inclined to think I might just as well give up and go back to TheSims3 - although EA never bother to test the Mac Client updates either Cry

As I now have five active accounts, not being able to play or crashing out every time I undock or jump is getting a little tiresome - not to mention expensive. Blink

Incidentally, with my Broadband, 1.6 GB will take over 2 hours at least.

Of course, looking on the bright side, this new update might not be the total disaster than Incarna was Lol

When I tested on Sisi the overview settings remained intact but all windows sizes/positions were reset to default.

You can export overview settings, unlike window positions/sizes/attributes which are currently not exportable (but they should be). I have a link in my sig for this feature.

So what happened to the assault ship buff? No mention of it in the patch notes

Assault ship changes did not make it in to this release. We will revisit those in a future patch or expansion.

Due to the removal of drone bays from Titans and Dreadnaughts, we have changed the blueprint requirements across all capital ships as follows:

o Capital drone bay has been removed from the material requirements of Titans and Dreadnoughts. The material requirement of the remaining components has been increased.

o Capital drone bay material requirements have been increased on all supercarriers and carriers.

o Ratios used are for every 100 components removed from a Titan, 25 is added to the requirement of the same races supercarrier and vice versa for components added.

o For each five components removed on a dreadnought, one is added to the requirement of the same races carrier and vice versa for components added.

Wait what?

Supercarriers, that had their drone bay size reduced, had their drone bay material requirements increased?
And carriers need more drone bays because dreadnoughts use less?

Who thought that would make sense?
And did he/she review how it was handled when motherships became supercarriers and capital clone vat bays were removed?

I just tried to add to the Training Queue for one of my characters - and was advised the Subscription has expired Shocked

Result! - at least one subscription will not be wasted while Mac users wait for Post-Release Testing to help deal with the usual bugs.

With Incarna I think it was at least a week before it was possible to login and leave the Station without crashing, plus at least one restart to re-acquire the target asteroids and fill the hold with ore.

Let's hope this one is better than that. Blink
