Drone GUI

As we all know CCP are tinkering with the GUI, especially with the directional scanner. Sweet.
However I think drones need some loving too. It is a pain to right click on what is a very small window especially for drone ships with multiple drones. I find myself sometimes clicking on the wrong set or the wrong option especially when umm... slightly drunk.

A nice icon bar with drone options ( intuitive of the drone types launched ) would be a great help. The less right clicking on text the better especially for some of the players that are short sighted or err... under the umm weather which probably accounts for 75% of New Eden on a Friday/ Saturday night.

Any thoughts on this?

I recall seeing somewhere (can't remember where now) that they do want to give the drone UI some love.

Let's keep hoping! Smile

Drone GUI improvements would be great. If I'm understanding you, the idea is to have a command bar - like selected item bar - which would work quite well IMO.

Left clicking instead might help.

Edit: I also like the drag and drop for starting and moving them back to hangar. Mostly been using the radial menu lately. Right mouse button is not necessary anymore for drones.

Possibly a drag bar, icons to just click. Firstly the drone aggro setting, followed by the conventional attack posture and then the advanced stuff like rep or guard etc.

It isn't rocket science.

The art team has shown interest in improving the drone UI. It's only a matter of time until they start applying the concepts they have developed for this feature.

Agreed. Drone interface seems... dated.

Out of curiosity, I don't follow Eve news as closely as I should. What are they looking at and what specifically regarding the D-scanner?
