Venture mining Time

Good day all, just a couple questions if I may. I have in the past mined using the Retriever and this time around the Venture. In my observations I have noticed even hisec, say i.e 0.6 and when I am mining Omber grade and above it seems to take a long time to mine one load.

For now I am using miner 1s and according to the time usually 25 minutes or so to mine a full load. What can I change to decrease the time and what can I do to make it work to my advantage??

It takes the same time to fill your cargo no matter what ore you mine. This is because mining lasers mine a constant m3/cycle, not a constant number of ore chunks.

You can fit better mining lasers, you can fit mining upgrade units, you can train skills (mining and astrogeology), you can fit implants. All of those will increase the m3/cycle for your mining lasers

you should probably not use Miner I's.

In the more advanced field of mining you can use Orca's with Gang Links for range and cycle times and also have a Mining Foreman Mindlink. If you don't have access to a fleet besides skills you use Hardwirings there are 2 5% Mining Yield implants available one is very common and be bought with LP and the other is 1b isk or more and only achieved thru a Cosmos Mission.

I don't always bring out my Absolution.

But when I do it makes the Blue's rage, lol.

If you look at the price per m3, you'll note that omber is right at the bottom, price wise. (though veld is close enough not to be significantly different)

I've even swapped the MLU for a DCU and done level 1 missions and some level 2 missions with it, but I don't recommend it..

You want to use mining barrage\exhumer BUT if you mine in Venture (awesome ship btw) you want to use mining laser upgrades II \ Mining laser II and min\max which rocks you suck ores from...

Also Astrogeology & Mining to V.

Best part will be probably to find random orca pilot and get bossts when he is around.

Also don't jump into a belt bookmark a spot in middle of the rocks and warp 0 in there.

use this page to determine which ore on the belt is best isk for your time then just hoard them until u got perfect refining for them.

Why mine Omber?!!? Surely there is some Veld, Scor, or Plag around?
