u want aggro in a mission, scram and web ur buddy.

Sorry but a falcon is going to die any way you fit it to any incoming DPS which makes it useless in large fleet PVP because it will die instantly no matter how many reps you have on it. A scorpion has some chance of living with reps but still its pretty much usless because you would have to have a significant number to make any difference and you would just be better off with more DPS boats.

I really don't think this is the best idea since CCP recently changed npc mechanics to do not simply focus on the first target sent in. Now they switch targets and while the npcs arent any harder the tactics involved had to adapt more. And with pvp, i don't even see how this would work. Theres no mechanic in place to force one player to attack another specific player. So it would't really achieve it's purpose in pvp.

the module would have a certain probably to make you drop all other locks and make you lock the ship in question within a certain range TBA.

Which means the effected people will be unable to lock anyone else which means that you can predict incoming DPS better and also splits DPS somewhat which give the logi an easier time.

And your complaining that they made it so that you couldn't chose the person who was going to take the DPS then you complain about something that would allow you to chose again... Your not very logical are you... But I don't really care about its PVE implications I make all my money off the market.

TLDR: Still not a single proposed stat, range, or answer for any of the following.

Mountable ship classes
Range
Duration, module activation frequency.
% Chance to taunt
Does chance applying to people already taunted?
Does taunt apply to Capitals?
What security status levels can it be used in?
How can it determine friend from foe?

And most importantly:

If the module can be mounted on BS or Carrier/Dreadnaughts:
How can the module not be broken by fitting it in mass to all ships in the fleet.

Ex. One mod with a 1% chance of snagging locks, fitted to each of 200 Megathrons in a standard CFC Fuckyoufleet, will effect roughly .99^200 % of the fleet, or 84% of the entire enemy fleet with locks spread out across those 200 Megathrons. Of course, we still have no even vague numbers on range from the OP at this point, but let's assume for the moment both fleets are within module acitvation range of each other.

You turn OP, answers or bust.

I wasn't complaining about anything. I was just pointing out the direction CCP has taken in regards to NPC aggro. I have no problems with it. I agree with it.

And I see two paths this module can take.Either it's too powerful and causes problems on both sides simply using 1 of the proposed modules, or it becomes to weak and ends up being about as used as the target spectrum breaker.

thats the point. how is forcing players to shoot a heavily tanked target, or not at all, not over powered?
