in the effort of saving time and energy to those players who find them to be single issue constituents, can we get a list of all CSM candidates who are willing to commit to fixing sov as a TOP priority

You see, the problem isn't "Do we stand for fixing sov". If you want something fixed, you have to tell us the specifics on what you want fixed. Otherwise, I could totally make a false claim just for votes, and that's not the way I'm going to run my campaign.

Do I think the current sov mechanics have issues? Absolutely.

Am I going to keep that at the forefront of my mind during my CSM term if I'm elected? Yes.

Are you and I on the same page when it comes to what is wrong and what needs to be done to fix it? I don't know.

In a nutshell, I think it's important EVE allows smaller entities (meaning small/med fleets as well as non-coalition alliances) to survive, thrive, and have an impact on the day to day life of their areas of influence. Currently null sec is dominated by very well run coalitions who have taken advantage of the tools given to them extraordinarily well, but having incredibly large groups own and control incredibly large tracts of space isn't healthy for EVE in the long term.

We need a great deal of conflict on a smaller scale and on a more frequent scale. I'm in support of ideas, features, and mechanics that can make this a reality.

Is it a top priority, above and ignoring all others?

Nope.

But it is important.

The thing is, Fixing Sov isn't one thing. It's a bunch of interrelated activities, which turns it into a nightmare to approach.

The better way to look at it is to introduce a number of changes which affect it.

Like changing power projection (Remove titan bridges, let carriers, super carriers and titans carry other ships when they jump)

I'd also like to see small gang targets being added to Sov, in a similar way to faction warfare (though not button orbiting.) These should be able to erode indexes, which, when down to zero, make the system vulnerable. And vulnerable systems leak to other nearby systems. ( https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/2013/01/23/making-sov-more-fun/ goes into more detail. It's no longer a direct match for what I'm thinking, but the principle is the same)

Of course, I'm an outsider when it comes to Nullsec. So you'll have to take my ideas with a metric ton of salt. I'm not egotistical enough to think that I know it all.

Woo! CSM XI!
