Patch worked for me, problem solved. Thx a lot, CCP Snorlax and whoever has been working on this as well!

Will we get any SP reimbursement for the lost 9 days? Twisted

Yes, the patch worked for me. But, on the other hand I lost skill training time, game play time, and have a potentially stuck character because of this issue running for an extended period of time. I hope CCP will address those issues for all of us, as it is not our fault their client failed to run on supported hardware.

Horraaaaaaaay!

I guess we all can shoot Fireworks in-game writing "Snorlax" in space. Rejoyce fellow colleagues. Mac users are all back.
May the fix last as long as possible.

So Mote it be.

Works for me now.

Compensation? Some of us pay just for monthly game access.

I also think compensation of some description should be given. For me i would happy with some skill point reimbursement.

Just want to say thus far after two attempts at viewing the StarMap (something that would crash me every time) I had no crashes. Knock on wood. I'll keep testing all the things I could do that would crash me hard (no safe recovery).

Just want to say thanks to CCP Snorlax and his team for hanging in there. Also grateful to Eve's Mac Community for all the input. This fix would not have happened without you (us).

I'll keep testing and let you know if I run into anything. I'll also be looking to upgrade my Mac ASAP as this computer's days running an Eve Client are numbered. I'll consider this a warning.

Looking forward to being able to FC again. Hard enough to do when there is no crashing. It's one thing to risk your own ship. I could not risk others until this was fixed. Glad to have my Eve Online back once again!!!

Ever grateful,

Given that we were unable to either login or dual box on our characters for some time I believe that some form of compensation, either as SP or extended game time, ought to be given to those that posted about or petitioned the issue before the release of the patch that fixed the issue.

Still having what seems to be the "Blank Screen" problem, not sure if/how that relates to "Black Screen" problem, but it seems possible it's related? Should I start a separate thread/topic?

I'm running a latest model Macbook Pro Retina 15 Running Mavericks (10.9.1) with the NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M GPU, 16 GB RAM, all drivers and system up to date.

I frequently have a second monitor attached via thunderbolt to VGA adapter, a Viewsonic AV 2012wb.

It occasionally works after patches are rolled out, but rarely twice in a row.

Sequence of events:

Launcher comes up, I log in. Once the patch applies (if there is one atm), I click "Play".

Button turns to "Launching"

New Icon appears on the dock, vanishes and another popps up.

A few seconds later the background/ambient music starts but there is NO window visible.

If I right click on the second Eve icon on the dock and go to "Show all windows" and scroll across the empty screen a blue highlighted box appears where there SHOULD be a window.

This is the same exact symptoms I've been seeing ever since I signed up for the trial. I really enjoy what I've seen of the game, when the client actually works. I've been looking for a deeper MMO (most of the current crop are soooo shallow/simple/twitchfestish) for sometime and would LIKE to be able to play this with my Sci-Fi focused 12 year old, in fact I've gone ahead and subscribed for 3 months with the HOPE that the bug will get fixed so we can play together. At the moment it's looking like we'd be better off trying to get it to work in a Wine based setup instead of the official OSX client?

That just doesn't seem right?

Anyway, this seems like the thread/topic most related to what I've been experiencing, so if anyone has any tips or suggestions on how to proceed I'd really appreciate the feedback. Thanks...

Except the issues still aren't fixed and no word about compensation. Be happy that you can play and aren't getting no benefit for your money spend, not that I don't think that you should get compensation.

I Have also developed this issue. Launcher goes into game and at the character selection screen i just get a black screen and the mouse pointer.

It worked fine after the patch but then crashed during a gate jump animation and now results in the above, Im running at fullscreen with native resolution.
