Does anyone have ballpark figures on the type of income per hour one can expect from ratting in lowsec? I'm thinking picking a system with many belts and chaining the belts. Unless there is another, more efficient way to do it.

In terms of the experience of some of my Corp mates, they look specifically for Clone Solider spawns, which not only provide good bounty, but also drop the clone solider tags.

Negotiator and Transporter tags are worth ~30,000,000 ISK each and they find them at a rate of 2-3 per hour (not all tags are negotiator or transport. The recruiter and trainer tags are worth only about 3,000,000 ISK each).

So if you target the same thing, then you can probably hit about 60-90 million per hour if all you are doing is blitzing for bounty and tags. If you stop for other loot, it probably drops tbh.

I'll qualify all that with I personally rat as little as possible and have never found it to be very profitable in lowsec (but that may be because I've never ratted for income).

Fly a marauder if you are in a secure system. Tractor battleship wrecks as they average about 2 / 3 mil per wreck

Clone Soldiers are basically the only thing worth ratting in lowsec unless 500k bounty from BS belt rats is something that gets your excited. Of course be ready for pvp because you will get visitors if they will see you on dscan longer than it takes to warp between gates.

Also keep in mind that Clone Soldiers are significantly harder than normal cruiser rats so take something with enough dps to kill them fast. AC thrasher or AF works fast enough to deal with rat quickly and be ready to take care of whatever lands on grid.

Lowsec anomalies are more lucrative than belt ratting. Slightly safe because if anyone shows up within 1 AU it is a reasonable bet that they are coming for you and you can prepare to leave.

To me at least, chaining means killing high value battleships and leaving the spawn so that those high value battleships will respawn with the remains of that spawn. Eventually you get to a state where every belt has a high value spawn.

Chaining in this sense is dead/removed. Just kill everything.

Don't overlook the anomalies you get on your scanner. They can have some nice ISK in them too.
